Not sure if that will be the final name, but here are the details of the upcoming Ultimate PPV Tournament I will be hosting here. This is basically to determine who people think is the best wrestler on pay-per-views. This may become an annual thing if people like it:
The tournament will start on December 21, the day after the last PPV of the year (Final Resolution 2009).
The tournament will feature every wrestler who has been in at least 10 PPV matches and includes every PPV aired in the US/Canada or from a US/Canada promotion (so it includes ones like the WCW Millennium Final PPV that aired only in Germany).
Matches like Gauntlet matches (where not everyone starts at the same time) count only as a win for the winner, and like the match never happened for the losers. Same for battle royals.
Wrestlers will be seeded based on their winning percentage. The wrestler with the best winning percentage will be paired with the wrestler with the worst percentage, etc.
The first few rounds will have people either posting their picks in that thread or PMing me with them, This is needed because there will be over 200 wrestlers in the tournament and polls for each match would not be feasible. Polls will be used once it gets to either the Sweet 16 or the Elite 8. I will not be voting before the finals unless there is a tie between wrestlers. The first few rounds will be open for 3 days each.
