Both are indy spot machines, but right now I don't see how Morrison is even half as good as Evans. Jack has way more redeeming features: He is wildly charismatic, has a fun gimmick, takes ridiculous bumps and is amazingly flexible (which allows his opponents to stretch him in all sorts of nasty ways). None of that I could say for Morrison, the only edge Morrison may have is that Evans can often go overboard and become sloppy, but Morrison's execution still leaves a lot to be desired itself.
Evans is also better in a variety of scenarios such as grudge matches (vs Strong, for example), tag matches, comedy matches, etc. His spot are also better for the "wow" factor.
What say you?

I've not been impressed by what I've seen of Morrison so far. He seems to really lack personality and every move he does is his regular spots. I can't defend Jack when it comes to also using a lot of spots, but I find him more enjoyable in the ring and he has shown he can take a great beating and be a good underdog. He's more charismatic and has a lot more personality than Morrison.
Both men are put over as being very fast-paced, but Morrison I've seen doing lots of restholds and generally being sloppy at times. I can't really give either an edge considering the number of times Jack's nearly killed himself messing up a move.
Gotta go with Jack.

I knew Steve would be its creator when I clicked this thread lol.
I can't claim to be an expert on Evans, but I have seen a decent amount of his ROH work, mainly from 2006. In terms of personality, there is no debate here. Morrison doesn't really have one, whereas Evans is pretty charismatic and a lot more likeable than Morrison. In the ring, neither are ideal from my point of view, but if you accept Evans for what he is, he is very entertaining in certain matches. I am definitely more entertained when I watch Evans in a match than when I watch Morrison. His lack of personality gives you no reason to get behind him, and as Steve said, for a spotmonkey, his spots arn't exactly impressive. I think Evans has a bit more variety whereas Morrison pretty much works the same match every time regardless of his opponent. I can't imagine Morrison portraying different roles, whereas Evans is indeed a good underdog.
Evans.
A poll should be added btw.

While Morrison is at a point in his career where he could be believably inserted into main events, Evans is just a lot of fun. Even when a lowcard match wasn't good, the comedy from Evans made it worth watching.
So I guess add me to the WWE hate club?

The fact that he gets so overrated doesn't help though.
Ah, so he's your hate wrestler of the week. Okay, I'll expect you to drop that in with every thread like you do with your other favorite and most hated wrestlers of the week. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Has there been any talk of Evans working in America any time soon? I kind of miss the guy.

I do mention it quite a lot, I'm surprised you haven't noticed, but you don't really post in WWE as much as here. I've disliked him ever since he turned face really. In Miz and Morrison, I actually preferred Morrison to Miz even though many disagreed. Now I easily prefer Miz. Morrison's face turn hasn't helped him in terms of character, but I think even if he was heel, Miz would easily be better.
I don't really hate Morrison, I just don't see the great wrestler others seem to. He's a decent midcarder for sure.

Morrison. Dude has stepped it up in the last 6 months and proved he can wrestle at a main event level. He's had great matches with Edge, Jeff, Y2J, Mysterio, Benjamin, Kidd, practically everyone he's been in the ring with.
Evans is fun no doubt, and I haven't seen him since he started in Mexico, but his offence looks weak to me, and I have a hard time buying into him as a threat to anybody.
There you go Stevie.
