CM Punk vs The Undertaker is looking like the biggest letdown of the decade.

So many people thought it was gonna be awesome and marked out just at the thought of those two facing each other, and what have we got so far? An 8 minute shitty Submission match with a tired, bullshit ending, and a standard 10 minute TV style match with a cell around it.

The fact that you think this is the biggest letdown of the decade is so crazy dude. The Invasion? ECW in it's early stages? Brock vs Goldberg? Wrestlemania 16? The flops of pushes such as Elijah Burke?

I can't think of anything else which has got people so excited which has failed so hard. Admittedly I was a mark with no knowledge of WCW or ECW during the Invasion, so that would be why I don't rank that as the biggest disappointment. Plus it was still entertaining and felt big. Punk/Taker has been ridiculously anticlimactic. ECW... again I never watched the original.
Burke is just one of many young guys who have looked promising and for one reason or another, never became anything.
Everybody has their own opinions and their own wrestling experiences which contribute to these.

That Punk/Taker HIAC is a disgrace, but not the biggest dissapointment of the decade to me. It shouldn't have been in a cell in the first place, it lasted like 10 minutes, it was probably the most tame HIAC I've ever seen and I can't say I approve of the result. If this feud is over, which I hope not because that would be a bigger dissapointment than this match, it's done nothing for either man involved.
Also, I think the commentary was 90% JR rattling off HIAC cliches.

biggest disapointment...let's see.
the invasion angle. it could have been so much more. could have 2-3 years out of that angle. burrying all the talent from the opposition.
raven's return to wwf. raven could been the mid card to high mid card guy but got screwed by creative. that and raven is such a genuis so he could had really given alot in terms of creative but once again creative looks down on wrestling guys.
johnny ace as senior vice presiden of talent relations. stabbed people in the back see dudley boys including spike, matt hardy, charlie haas. he is the guy that watched the rock's contract expire and not say thank you or anything closely related to it. (see jim cornette on johnny ace) screwed cornette out of running ovw and training guys. (see cornette slapping santino and his side of the story) wouldn't allow big name even though kane and benoit made several appearnce in ovw to help draw. ace would send scotty too hotty or a low card guy instead. ross allowed to happen to have gig stars make appearnces in ovw when he was vice president of talent relations. also responcible for signing of body builders.

demasking kane....it gave mystic of how badly his face was burned. was his signature and what people indentitfied him with. it made him special and not bland. even though is fine now just feels like part of his char is missing without that.

It was pretty much hyped up to be one of the best Mania matches of all time. Both guys had pretty good background styles, The feud had a great buildup but it was pretty clear that both guys didn't really care anymore. Stone cold stunning them & the booing crowd where the highlights of that match.
