Which is the best singles one on one ladder match you have seen this decade? My pick is Benoit/Jericho from the Royal Rumble 2001, just an excellent match with great spots, psychology and brutality. The only minor criticism was the weird ending, but still incredible. Second choice would be Michaels/Jericho at No Mercy 2008
Jeff Hardy vs Taker on Raw or something like that. Taker was a biker taker and Jeff's hands were on the gold. He got the Last Ride a couple times and got his hand raised by Taker (who if I remember right was a heel at the time).
Jericho/Benoit is the first thing that stands out to me. Had it on VHS the day after the PPV....must have watched that show/match 1000 times.
Brilliant PPV.
Though, although I do think that match is great, I actually prefer Jericho vs Michaels. As good as Benoit/Jericho was, I think the finish brought it down a lot, whereas the Jericho/Michaels finish was easily the best ladder-related finish ever. Aside from that, Benoit/Jericho probably edges it, though both are very good with a lot of good, unique spots.
But yeah, because of the finish I'm going with Jericho/HBK.
And Jeff/Taker gets an honorable mention just because I don't think I've ever seen a gutsy underdog vs big bully heel match done better than that.

You knew Jeff was not going to win, but THEY made you believe he was right there and had a chance.

I agree, the ending to Benoit/Jericho was the only minor criticism to an otherwise flawless match, just looked really weird and obvious that Benoit was waiting for Jericho to take it. Still prefer it to Michaels/Jericho which is also awesome. Both are my two favorites of the decade
