A couple of months back I made a thread on fantasy booking involving things you thought would never happen but ended up coming to fruition. Here, I'm simply asking what would you would love to see, but in all likelihood will never happen. We all have dream feuds/angles/matches that we would simply LOVE to book, but for various reasons (attitude of bookers, going against the direction of a company, reluctance of certain parties to be involved etc) they will probably never happen.
What would you book if anything was possible?
I have already been through my plans of turning Cena heel at Wrestlemania in a match with Taker, in which he ends the streak, so here's an even better Cena one that won't happen:
John Cena vs The Rock
Not sure about the timescale of this. The build would have to start a lot closer to Mania now, but I want to use Rock's taped Smackdown segment as a starting point so it's difficult. I'm going to assume Cena gets booed in a couple more big PPV matches, then does this...
Cena cuts a promo talking about how the Rock cut a pre-taped promo and it got a huge pop. He talks about how he has worked his whole life to be a wrestler, and that is all he has ever wanted to do. Yes, he has dabbled in music and movies, but he is a wrestler. He says Rock got a better reaction for a taped segment than he does for his matches, and questions why the fans care more for somebody who turned his back on them, and the wrestling business in general, over a guy who works his ass off night after night for them. When he namedrops Rock the fans pop, which gets Cena more pissed off. He says that unlike Rock, he will never leave to pursue a movie career, so the fans better learn to appreciate him. (Pretty damn heelish but on the other hand he IS showing passion for the business, so it's not set in stone).
Next week:
Cena comes out with Rock's music and mocks him. He asks why the fans thought Rock was coming out, because he's just done something Rock would never have the respect and decency to do: Step inside a WWE ring. Vince McMahon comes out and tells Cena that he will have the chance to address Rock personally next week, when he's GUEST HOST OF RAW !!~
The next week Cena and Rock have a confrontation. Rock says he's heard about what Cena has been saying, and Cena should just drop it. He says the fact that he's guest hosting RAW proves that Cena was wrong. "You said The Rock would never step in a WWE ring, well the Rock is right here John". Cena says that Rock may have agreed to come back for one quick payday, but he disrespected the business by using it as a stepping stone for something else. Rock says that just because you leave something behind, doesn't mean you don't respect it. He will always be grateful to the WWE fans etc. Cena tells Rock he busts his ass every night, and Rock says that reminds him, Cena will be action tonight, against MVP. Rock announces that he'll be the special guest ref for the match, which pisses Cena off. During the match, Cena confronts Rock over the speed of his counts. Rock drinks some water and spits it in Cena's face, leading to a rollup and a fast count. Rock and MVP celebrate on the ramp as Cena looks FUCKING PISSED.
The next week, in short (because this post is getting long) Cena says Rock's actions were typical of someone so gutless. Someone who left wrestling becaue he couldn't cut it anymore, and was afraid when he saw guys like Cena coming through. He says he's better than Rock ever was and Rock knew this, and never wanted to face him. Finally, he challenges Rock to a match at Wrestlemania.
Over the next few weeks Cena is involved in a feud with MVP, Rock's "buddy" (idk why I can just imagine them being friends lol) and consistently mentions his challenge to The Rock and how Rock will likely not respond, proving Cena's point about him being gutless. MVP says somebody needs to shut Cena up, and he'll be the one to do it. They have a PPV match, but Cena wins, then gets the mic and addresses the Rock, asking if he's watching. He destroys MVP.
So yeah, eventually Rock announces he accepts Cena's challenge in a sit down interview via live video linkup. Cena says it's not surprising Rock won't show his face, so Rock says he'll be there live next week for a contract signing, which turns into a brawl, with Rock laying the smack down on Cena and throwing him out of the ring to an epic pop.
So then at Mania we have Cena vs Rock!~
