I would like to see the Eddie vs. Rey match, but I can't find it on Youtube. Any ideas as to where I could see this?
The Rockers breakup is an absolute beauty. One of the best heel turns of all time without a doubt.
While I was on Youtube I stumbled across Macho Man vs. Jake The Snake. It featured a classic beatdown by Jake.
After the end of the match, won by Savage, Macho Man goes to get the bell to do further damage. In the commotion Jake recovers and sneaks up on Macho and gives him the DDT. He goes on to embarras Macho by kicking him and slapping him around, giving him two more DDT's and forcing Elizabeth to beg for mercy. The crowd is outraged, screaming and booing. Macho Man is truly annhilated....it's a fantastic beatdown that served to intensify an already raging feud.
The Eddie heel turn was on the 5/5/05 episode of Smackdown after the Rey/Chavo street fight.

Worst Beatdown ever was when Austin (heel) beats the crap out of Good Ol JR. I remember reading an interview that Austin was super pissed at Vince for having to do that.
I always hated it when they beat up JR (especially in his hometown). It just was pathetic and really just in bad taste. Plenty of ways to get a heel hated from the crowd. Beating up announcers really shouldn't have been one of them.
Maybe it's because I was young, but one of the more memorable moments in wrestling (Not just beat downs) was Nailz debut and attack on Boss Man. Just seeing the Boss Man taken down and hit repeatedly with a nightstick shocked me.

That was quite a shocking display, although the hometown beatdown seems to be standard fare. On the rare occasion (like Trish in Toronto) they reward the hometown wrestler, but usually after several failures. At least it appears that way to me.
I just wonder how well JR and the commentator types can take a shot. It doesn't seem right to ask old men commentators to get thrown around by 250lb men.

Nice. Now that's a beatdown. I kind of remember that...maybe I just saw the highlights after the fact. Those head slaps looked vicious! Boss Man was destroyed.
It's funny to see him as a face. He was still beating his jobber opponent up after the match when Nailz came and got him.
Nailz was another in the long line of ultimate monster badasses who disappear as quickly as they appeared....unless he was big somewhere else ( I don't know).
Another beating I thought of was Mick Foley by Evolution. I'll look for that one on Youtube (although I don't really know how to post them). He was pummeled for a very long time. It was quite disturbing. It might be the most violent that I can remember.

He had mild success with Nick Kiniski in the AWA at the tail end of the company's history. After leaving the WWE, he went to WCW as The Prisoner working the exact same gimmick as Nailz. I seem to remember hearing that the WWE threatened to sue WCW for gimmick infringement, so the combination of that and still being horrible lead to Nailz being fired quickly.
