View Poll Results: Who's worst about pushing people?
WWE has basically revised the same combination of guys in the top spots all the time. HHH, Cena, Orton, Batista etc with little room for anyone else to squeeze in. Then there's TNA who makes it obvious that until the guys in MEM retire, or die of old age that nobody else will go anywhere in the company. So which company is in your opinion the worst to their young talent in favor of their comfort zone Superstars?
Obviously TNA, but perhaps only because WWE have several brands. Sure, RAW is currently stacked with all the guys WWE push hardest and keep in main event over the young guys, but there is always Smackdown, where CM Punk and Jeff Hardy are currently main eventing, Morrison and Ziggler are getting good pushes etc. The top guys are spread across two brands, so either they're all on one and new guys get pushed on the other, or new guys have to be elevated to face the established talent on both brands.
Another point is that in WWE, stars are created from within so there is always a chance of them creating a new one. In TNA, you get the impression that none of the young guys could ever make it because TNA will always be looking to sign somebody from WWE who is already credible rather than pushing talent themselves.

I'd also have to say TNA, if you look at the workers who have been at the top over the last couple of years, there's names in there that were doing the same thing in WCW over 10-years ago, so that shows the volume of the problem there. Couple that with the fact that anyone who's been at a decent level in WWE can walk straight into the TNA main-event and the younger 'home-grown' talent must be looking up and thinking 'this is impossible'.

Who has TNA pushed to main event status in the last 5 years? Samoa Joe and Christian Cage, that's pretty much it. A.J. Styles was pushed their at one point, but that was pretty much killed when they started Impact.
In that same 5 years, WWE has pushed CM Punk, Batista, Randy Orton, John Cena, Edge, John "Bradshaw" Layfield, Eddie Guerrero, Jeff Hardy, The Great Khali, Rey Mysterio to main event status.
People may complain about lack of pushes in WWE, but WWE has elevated a lot more wrestlers than TNA has.

I wouldn't count Cage seeing as he was really a product of WWE and his push only worked because of that. He's not an example of somebody they elevated themselves, more an example of somebody they threw into main events fast because he was famous from WWE.
You should add Abyss to the list in his place though. I know he didn't stay there long, but he WAS Champion, and some of those WWE examples were only very short term main eventers also.

AJ was world champion for the last month of the first run of Impact.
Don't forget Abyss. They gave him a short run, a forgettable one though, as World Champion.

Over the last few years it has just become more and more of a problem in TNA that ANYBODY with name value will be signed and pushed. It is getting almost impossible now for their homegrown stars to make an impact, and we have seen this again with Lashley thrown straight into the main event mix because his WWE run makes him credibe enough. When he's had his time, there'll be someone else from WWE to step in. I don't really see an end to it at the moment.

I guess Abyss counts too, even if it was very brief and he hasn't been close to main even status in the last few years. TNA is still really bad about creating main eventers though. The majority of their top level wrestlers became main eventers in WWE/WCW/ECW before coming to TNA.

Yeah but you included Khali in your WWE list. He was only even champ due to a whole host of injuries. Fair is fair.
Obviously I agree that TNA is shockingly bad in this respect.

TNA no doubt. Apart from AJ, Joe & Abyss pretty much no one else has received a big push because TNA have this thing of signing stars that have already made there name in WWE/WCW/ECW & putting them straight into the main event scene. If given the correct push guys such as Rhodes, Young, Lethal, Daniels & possibly Sabin & Shelly could of been big main event stars & still could be big main event stars if given the chance.
