Nearly every big wrestler has to have a moniker. It is part of what makes them who they are and what gets their character over, be it through the wrestler referring to themself by this name to show charisma, or the commentators using it to put over their ability. There have been some very memorable ones in wrestling history, such as:
"The Texas Rattlesnake" - Stone Cold Steve Austin
"The Heartbreak Kid"/"The Showstopper" - Shawn Michaels
"The Million Dollar Man" - Ted Dibiase
"The Nature Boy" - Ric Flair
"The Excellence of Execution" - Bret Hart
"The Hardcore Legend" - Mick Foley
"The Rated R Superstar" - Edge
"The Great One"/"The People's Champ"/"The Brahma Bull" - The Rock
"The Game"/"The King of Kings"/The Cerebral Assassin" - Triple H
Obviously there are many more, because pretty much every famous wrestler throughout history has one.
Basically, what are your favourite monikers and why?

I've always been a fan of Taker's. The Deadman, The Phenom (my personal favorite), The American Bad Ass, Big Evil, etc.
Kane being the Big Red Machine was always a good one.
"The Rainbow Haired Warrior", "the Charismatic Enigma", and "The Extreme Enigma", Jeff Hardy. He has a more diverse set of nicknames when it comes to the current stars.

The Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla was always a personal favourite of mine. I just think it really suited his cocky yet light-hearted persona back when he was a face.
The Excellence of Execution was a great one because it was so true, as he never fucked up and seemed to execute every move perfectly.
I remember when JR called Triple H the "Monarch of the Mat" a few times. That was pretty great but it didn't stick like his other ones did lol.

At first it was a prickish, cocky heel thing to do that got huge amounts of heat. Now many folk actually believe it. That sounds like a successful and good nickname to me. Plus, I find it difficult to disagree with it myself.

lol that is indeed a great one. The way he says it as much as anything.
I can't believe there are still people who don't think he is charismatic. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

'The Innovator of Violence' Tommy Dreamer is my personal favourite, just sounds so extreme and suited the look of both Dreamer's matches as well the overall look of ECW at the time.

I loved, on an ECW PPV, when Joel Gertner introduced Sign Guy Dudley (who never spoke) as The Innovator Of Silence.

Meaner than a rattlesnake, tougher than shoe leather, more dangerous than a hollowed-eyed scorpion, middle-aged and crazy, crazy like a fox.
Yeah I think I saw that that too, 'The Quiet Behind the Riot' and 'The Silence Behind the Violence' were two more good ones. Was it Styles and/or Gertner that came up with these on the spot or were they thought up by Sign Guy himself. I seriously miss the original Dudley's, possibly the best gimmick I ever saw to be honest, ECW just gave it so much depth and back-story that I think if they'd spent another 5-years + playing that identical gimmick without changing, they'd have still been just as over.

-Heyman once called Albert the 'Rabbi of Retribution'. I always thought that was pretty cool.
-J.R. calling the Dudley Boys "Those Damn Dudley Boys."
-While this wasn't a moniker per se, I used to chuckle every time Lilian Garcia would announce either Bob Holly or Crash Holly as "Weighing allegedly well over 400 lbs."
-Speaking of Crash, when they used to call him "Elroy" that was pretty funny too.
