| As long as they bring in the biggest crowds and have a TV deal I think it's safe to say they will be the top indy company. |
Agreed, but there are rumors about the TV deal falling through. As it is, HDNet has pretty minimal market penetration. The very very light summer schedule for ROH ( 2 weekends) is, to me, a serious indicator that all's not well within the promotion.

| That's a good point, Junior. But we don't want your input either unless we're listening to Over the Ropes so gtfo.
Thoughts on Over the Ropes and do you listen to it weekly? |
I listen when I can-the potential is clearly there. I've had a few minor complaints about the show, which have been discussed. There are more interviews on the way, which can only help the show long term. More interviews=more publicity=more listeners. They're moving in the right direction.

| Listen? He's the star man.
Just finished watching Bruno Sammartino's Straight Shooting Series (Which I guess I have you to thank for?). Perhaps the most interesting thing he claimed was how there aren't any more draws in wrestling anymore. Instead, it's all of the big machine that is the WWE. Meaning, it's the WWE name that brings in fans. However, they didn't have any stars since him that could draw in a place month after month and in all of the cities. This includes Hogan and Austin. Would you agree that especially those two names weren't draws in the same fashion as Bruno was and are there any real draws today? |
Bruno-and you know I love him-comes off as very bitter sometimes. In one aspect, he's correct-the draw mainly selling tickets now is WWE, not the individual talent. Unless you have tickets to a PPV, chances are you'll have no idea who will be appearing until you get to the arena. As far as the statement that they didn't have any stars since Bruno that could draw.....it's bitter Bruno talking again. Superstar did fine as a draw-Backlund did fine as a draw (even if Bruno was sometimes billed over him), and to say Hogan & Austin weren't draws is insane.
I think there are still a few individual draws today-Cena is one, Jeff Hardy would certainly be another. Other than that? I'm not sure. Those seem-to me-to be the two names that could get families that wouldn't normally think of attending a wrasslin' event to buy tickets.
