Who is your favorite big man of all time and why? (I didn't mean for that to sound like an essay question on some exam.)
I'd have to go with Brody. People seem to remember Brody as just a brawler, but the man could flat out wrestle when need be. His 60 minute draw with Flair in St. Louis is available on DVD, and is classic.
Totally my opinion, but WCW had some amazingly good stuff involving the Midnight Express against either the Rock & Roll Express or the Fantastics. Any of the matches involving those teams was guaranteed to be great. Fast paced, innovative spots and doubleteam moves...I often felt sorry for whoever had to follow one of their tag matches.

Meaner than a rattlesnake, tougher than shoe leather, more dangerous than a hollowed-eyed scorpion, middle-aged and crazy, crazy like a fox.
Who was a better Heel, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase, or Vince McMahon?
I'm going to go with The Brain.
DiBiase's heel run was good, and he did succeed in getting the belt off Hogan, but it took a ridiculously contrived story line to do it. Evil Twin Refs? Please.
Mr. McMahon's heel stuff was good, but the whole Evil Authority Figure gimmick is so tired it's not even funny.
Heenan-besides being one of the most gifted talkers this business has ever seen-had one major thing in his favor. In addition to managing what seemed like a never-ending stream of wrestlers who were determined to kill Hulkamania, Heenan was the color commentator on TV. He didn't have to worry about getting his protege over in one interview segment-he had the entire show to do it, if he so chose.
There should be an entire website devoted to Brain quotes-Hell, there probably is! One of my all time favorites was at Bash At The Beach, when Hogan turned heel and joined the nWo-the other announcers sat there in stunned silence, and Heenan started yelling "I TOLD you he was no good! I told you!"
Perfect.

There are indeed several websites dedicated to Heenan's quotes. The Royal Rumble 1992 match alone shows just how brilliant Heenan was on the mic. Flair and others may of kept the action in the ring entertaining, but Bobby needs to be credited for helping the match end up being one of the better stipulation matches of all time.

Granted you are a fan now, but did it take any extra effort to become a fan of CHIKARA just because of how different it is than what you were used to?
Baby Hitler question. After all of the good and bad Vince McMahon has done over the years, he nearly single handily changed wrestling forever. If you could go back to when McMahon was a baby, would you kill him off in order to keep him from performing the changes in the future? (Or if you'd rather - offer Vince's mother a large sum of money to move her son to a new country before he could have met Vince Sr.)
Finally, in an epic battle of the minds, who would win in a trivia contest? You or me?

Chikara? Bon had shown me some Chikara action on DVD, and I was pretty indifferent at first. Seeing Chikara live was what sold me on the promotion. It's difficult to say exactly what is it, but they have their own way of doing things from the minute you walk in the door. At the end of the day, it's all about entertainment. I don't care if it's a techincal wrestling display like Flair/Steamboat, or if it's a 10 minute in-ring promo from The Rock-if I'm not entertained, I'm out of there. Chikara is entertaining as Hell. On a smaller scale, Chikara reminds me of the original ECW in that their shows have something for everyone. They have the high-flying luchadores, they have the brawlers, they have comedy matches..they only thing Chikara doesn't have is the hardcore action. And I can live without that. Been there, done that X1000.
A Terminator-like mission to slay young Vinny Mac? The way the climate was in the 80's, if Vince hadn't pulled the trigger on his national expansion, someone else would have. Gagne already had the AWA running in non-traditional AWA cities like Las Vegas and Winnipeg. Vince had a vision, and the determination and the bankbook to see that vision through.
Trivia? You'd own me.

Complete agreeance. Heenan's Royal Rumble call was every bit as epic as Flair's performance that night.

Good:
Vince's back was against the wall, and WWF was actually feeling the heat. Vince's response of doing away with the over-the-top characters and giving the talent much more free reign over their persona was a move made out of desperation, that turned out to be genius. No more wrestling garbagemen/wrestling country singers/wrestling race car drivers. The Attitude era was very much right place, right time for WWF. They caught lightning in a bottle once, and have been trying ever since to reach that lever of viewership.
Bad:
Frequent title changes for the sake of shock TV ultimately rendered titles nearly meaningless.
Vince Russo now has an actual period of success on his resume, and he's been living off that reputation ever since.
An emphasis on backstage wackiness that continues to this day. Evil Wrestler A is secretly plotting with Evil Wrestler B, and they don't notice the camera crew with TV lights eavesdropping on their dastardly plot?

Since you seem to be a long time To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. fan, how did you view WCW back in the 90s? Was it just more wrestling goodness for you to enjoy? Or were you a WWF loyalist who saw WCW as "the enemy"?

I've never really followed The Von Erich family except Kerry and Lacey. Can you explain to me the full family tree and their legacy. I made a mess-up I was not aware of.
