Can you ever remember a time when you've been watching wrestling and you've sat there in disbelief as the wrong man goes over? Maybe a has-been returned to squash some promising young talent, or they simply made the wrong decision as to who should be Champion. Whatever the situation, what are some of the most sickening jobs you've seen?
I'll start with this one....
Hulk Hogan over Randy Orton - Summerslam 2006.
This was the first PPV I bought after getting back into wrestling in mid 2006. I see this young, talented guy Randy Orton with a lot of potential. Already a former World Champion at a young age (24?) Orton looked set to be a major star for years. He goes up against the returning legend Hulk Hogan, and guess what? Hogan refuses to job. So we have one of the future top stars, and a pretty big deal even at the time, jobbing to an old has-been who only turned up once every blue moon. Smart. It took Orton another year+ to recover from this bad booking and once again win the World Title at No Mercy 2007.

The Hogan loss didn't hurt Randy Orton at all. With how Orton had just gotten into trouble, he was lucky to still be in such a big match. Wrestling Hulk Hogan is a way of being in the ring with the biggest star of all time. If you're able to get a good match out of Hogan (Rocky or Angle) you're looked at as a God. If you produce a horrible match, there has to be some question why you even got the match in the first place (Hunter or Taker).

Haha when I was typing that I knew you'd disagree. >_>
I just think it is pretty ridiculous to have a guy from a different era in wrestling who is in his 50s come back and defeat a young star in 10 mins, especially one who had held World Title gold and would again. Obviously it didn't hurt him too much long term (unlike the Triple H feuds) but I still think its a pretty pointless thing to do and a pretty bad job.

I honestly can not think of any worse than Trips over Booker at Wrestlemania XIX. You have the most over babyface on the entire roster (who wasn't on his way out) job to a guy no one wanted to see. Booker was INSANELY over, EVERYONE wanted him to win, he had the in-ring ability, the charisma and popularity to a be a huge draw and make them a shit load of money, but instead they decided to have him job to the guy was producing shitty matches and hogging the spotlight and no one cared about. Cleanly. And no, it wasn't just that either, Trips had to kick out of all of Booker's finishers, including one he only busted out on big match occasions, and then Booker loses cleanly after one pedigree, and with several seconds pause in between too.
What a load of shit.

They had a Smackdown (Damn fine) and a King of the Ring match (Pretty good as well). Hogan actually tapped out for the KOTR match giving Angle a rare clean submission win over Hogan.

This.
And Triple H going over MVP in around five minutes (if that) while feigning injury and doing only one move that wasn't a forearm... Such fucking bullshit.

Has to be this one. Like Steve said Booker was over as hell at that point in his career & WWE wouldn't of had a better chance to make him a World champion. This was a great match but most people underrate it due to the fact that Booker didn't win it. Don't know what the WWE were thinking not having Booker win this one. Having Triple H win it wasn't going to help his career at all anyway.

Hate to mention another Triple H one, but lets be honest most of the worst in recent memory are down to him...
Triple H over Jeff Hardy - No Mercy 2008
You have the most over guy in the company after Cena going after the gold against somebody who had held the title since Backlash and had a pretty fucking boring dominant reign on Smackdown. Jeff is made to look pretty bad in the match, especially with the finish. Triple H basically no sold Jeff's finisher to pin him and retain the title. I know people who hate Hardy, and they were marking out when he hit the Swanton. Even haters wanted Jeff to win just to see something new, but guess what, Triple H wants again ruins everything by retaining. At the next PPV, he defeats Hardy one on one AGAIN, only for Hardy to win the title without pinning Triple H at Armageddon, obviously not looking like the best on the brand, with an Edge reign sandwiched in between for the sole reason that Triple H didn't have to put anybody over that way.
PLEASE RETIRE *clap, clap, clap clap clap*
