I am mainly talking about mainstream wrestling here, as I have not been watching the indys in 2009, but for me, wrestling has been pretty bad in 2009 and from the posts on this site I think its safe to assume the majority are in agreement with that. Actually, I remember some people saying that even ROH has been poor compared to what it was like before, and other companies have apparently not been so great either. Obviously WWE and TNA have both been pretty much terrible throughout 2009.
The question is, if everything is bad, what keeps you watching the product? I know not everybody watches the same promotions, but for those who watch WWE and TNA for example, why do you watch if the product sucks? Is it hope that things may improve? Are there a few individuals you want to see even if the product is bad in general? Do you simply watch out of habit? What is it?

Personally, I don't think WWE has been that bad this year (apart from Raw), but each to their own I suppose.
Mainly, it's the fact that it's gone through bad periods before, and it usually recovers after a while. 2004 was horrible, yet here I am, 5 years later, still watching.

Truthfully, there's nothing else really to do. I've been watching wrestling since I was 4 years old. So for me, it keeps me intouch with my childhood. Ontop of that, my brother also watches it so that's kind of how we bond.

I've been watching wrestling all my life, and really, you have that 'itch' to watch it. You know? And like stated above, I don't think WWE has been that bad apart from Raw, because in my opinion, Smackdown has been top notch as of late.

Nothing, Ive been bored stiff for the last three years. I actually quit watching it six months ago, but I sometimes check results and I still have interest in storylines and backstage stuff. In the ring, I'd rather watch midget porn... So if we found a female Hornswoggle, I'd strart watching again. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. It's nothing more than habit. When I put wrestling on I'm not particularly intrested in it, but I feel like I've missed something If I don't put it on. I'm not even intrested in watching older wrestling that I have on DVD, so it's not just because of the current product.
I'm more intrested in reading about wrestling.
