Rank the Wrestlemania main events this decade

Simple thread, just rank the Wrestlemania main events from this decade in order in which you think they were quality-wise, with 1 being the best and 10 being the worst. Maybe a bit of reasoning too, if you're feeling generous.

Mine is somewhat predictable:

#1 - The Rock vs Stone Cold Steve Austin - Wrestlemania X7
#2 - Triple H vs Chris Benoit vs Shawn Michaels - Wrestlemania XX
#3 - Kurt Angle vs Brock Lesnar - Wrestlemania XIX
#4 - Edge vs The Undertaker - Wrestlemania 24
#5 - John Cena vs Shawn Michaels - Wrestlemania 23
#6 - Triple H vs The Rock vs Mick Foley vs The Big Show - Wrestlemania 2000
#7 - Triple H vs Batista - Wrestlemania 21
#8 - John Cena vs Triple H - Wrestlemania 22
#9 - Chris Jericho vs Triple H - Wrestlemania 18
#10 - Triple H vs Randy Orton - Wrestlemania XXV

Cena/Michaels would probably have been above Edge/Taker if it didn't have the pointless legwork at the start. I would also say the bottom four are actively bad matches.

Would have liked to have added Batista/Undertaker to the list but it wasn't obviously the main event; fourth match on the card, what bullshit that was. It should have been the main event. I mean, Undertaker winning a title for the first time in five years was a big deal, figured it would have been THE main event of the show.

Yeah I agree, especially as Taker had won the Rumble that year too. If it was the main it would be third on my list.

I really disliked the fatal 4 way. It was just so sloppy and didn't have a big feel to it at all, and obviously Foley was epic out of shape. Also seemed an anti-climax when Triple H retained. Was kinda cool seeing the fans throw all that shit at Trips and the McMahons though.

Triple H in Wrestlemania main events at this stage is a joke considering the quality of his matches.

I found it hard to disagree with your top few picks, as you can see.

And yes if this was all World Title matches rather than just main events, the list would be a bit different.

I personally found Jericho/Triple H one of these most boring matches ever, definitely the worst WM main event IMO. Steve Austin/The Rock , without a doubt, was the greatest of the decade, which is saying something really. Benoit/Trips/HBK would have been second if it wasn't tainted now. Seriously. I think if Cena/JBL was a main event, it would have been 4th and at most 5th since it was the start of the Cena era and has an extreme amount of significance.

Just because it was the start of an era doesn't mean it was a good match though. That was a lot worse than Batista/Trips imo.
