I dunno about that really. The WWE has plenty of good talent, and there are a lot of shitty guys in the indys.

Not really the sort of thing to generalize about, theres good and bad wrestlers most places.
Yeah, but how many WWE/TNA wrestlers have put on good matches lately? Here is my list:

Mysterio, Jericho, Morrision, Christian, Swagger, The Hart Dynasty, Styles, Booker, Punk.

Indy guys aren't doing too good at the moment either, but guys like Black, Lynn, Aries, Richards, Danielson, Hero, Ki....they get ti done today.

I like Morrison but best in mainstream wrestling?

I can't recall him ever putting on a great match.

Morrison's face turn has really exposed him as a two-dimensional uncharismatic spot machine.
Wow. Really? I know people are high on the Miz right now, and I am as well. But I think it puts down Morrison a bit. Morrison has had a great run. His match with BOurne is very underrated. He feuded with Benjamin who fucks up all the time.

Well it all comes down to opinion, but I would say Cena, Show, the Colons, Matt Hardy, Miz, Jericho, Ziggler, Rey, Undertaker (when hes around) and the majority of the ECW guys are all pretty consistant in terms of putting out fun matches every week on TV and usually delivering when put in the position to do so. They are have a bunch of other guys who swing from crap to good.

Meanwhile the standard for workers on the indy scene has definitely dropped over the last few years. Albright, Black and Roddy are bland, Hero and Necro in ROH has been a dissapointment, Lynn is mediocre, Jacobs is only good for blood fueds, the Briscoes swing from fun to unwatchable, a lot of PWG guys are flippy gymnasts, a lot of Chikara guys are greenhorns, etc etc

Like I say, theres good talent and bad talent in both.

Maybe the Miz praise does bounce badly for Morrison, but I would say the Miz brought the structure to the team, and Morrison brought the flashy stuff. The Bourne match was good, but I think it is getting overated now because it really wasn't any better than most ECW matches that get that times. Bourne had a better match with Chavo last year and I wouldn't call Chavo a great wrestler. I havent been impressed with Morrisons face run really so far, but I am willing to give him a chance.

Also, Christian must be mentioned. Every match he has had with Swagger(except ER w/ Dreamer) has been great. The ECW match they had was the topper. And he hasn't lost a step with his mic skills.
Got to disagree... I really enjoyed the Extreme Rules Triple Threat.

Cos as a heel he was fantastic? Erm... No. As a face his matches make way more sense. He's always been a two-dimensional uncharismatci spot machine in my eyes, he's just better now.

Re: The BEST in professional wrestling

How do his matches make more sense?

He wrestles the exact same way as he did when he was heel, he's just against different opponents.

Re: The BEST in professional wrestling

Pretty much agree with that. As a heel he did the flashy moves and spots too, but to be honest I would justify that by saying it was Morrison showing off and being cocky, which fit his heel persona.

I've not even seen him as a face yet to be honest. Not watched Smackdown in an eternity.

Re: The BEST in professional wrestling

The fact he wrestles the EXACT same way as a heel and a face shows how two-dimensional and lacking in personality he is.

I don't see how busting out Jack Evans style flips like the springboard 450 makes his matches more logical, or any better.

Re: The BEST in professional wrestling

I never said he wasn't two-dimensional Steve... I just think he's better as a face because his matches have always been spotty and face-like. It's got bugger all to do with anything new he's brought out of the bag really.

Re: The BEST in professional wrestling

I dunno, I would say his moveset fits an arrogant, flashy douchebag better than a face.
