- Best British wrestler ever?
Although you may not have heard of him, i'm going to say George Kidd, best wrestler ever period for that matter, skill wise. He influenced Johnny Saint, Ken Joyce, Steve Grey & Johnny Kidd to name afew and indirectly (via Saint) influenced alot of the American indy darlings in some aspects aswell. He created that incredibly sophisticated, technical style that everyone loves Saint for, George held the British Lightweight Championship for 26 years!

- Dog colllar matches
Great old school gimmick match, but potentially dangerous if not done properly, but yeah usually some great brawls, most famous one perhaps being Greg Valentine vs. Roddy Piper, where I believe Piper actually lost some of his hearing.

- Young Jeff Hardy
How young are we talking, back in the 90s he was of course the more adventerous, high flying Hardy Boy, like WWEs answer to ECWs Rob Van Dam, in whatever he lacked technical wise, it was hidden by his aerial antics, would never had imagined he'd go on to be the champ though, then again, you could say the same for Edge.

- TLC matches
Awesome, shame we don't have them anymore in the WWE, although I suppose they're specialist to certain teams, and we have the MITB matches anyway, but they were crazy, the amout of spot potentials makes them unpredictable.

- Steve Corino
He came into ECW at the rear end of the companies history, but more than any other established ex ECW alumni, he went on to have a great, even a better career after ECW, he hasn't lived off of that company doing hardcore indy shows in & around PA, although he wouldn't have done so well had it not been for them for sure, but yeah, he's a success story.

Re: 15. THOUGHTS ON

- Best British wrestler ever? - That I've seen probably boils down to William Regal and Nigel McGuinness. I know Dynamite Kid demonstrated the type of aggression and mat work that performers like Benoit demonstrated (Before he killed himself) and even now in Davey Richards. You'll probably get a ton of answers saying Johnny Saint was but of the guys that I've seen in my liftime, the growth of Nigel McGuinness has really shown great improvement and really can be one of the best once he fully recovers from all of his nagging injuries. But if you asked me...I'd say Dynamite then William Regal and then McGuinness

- Dog colllar matches - Classicly speaking...one of the more violent matches that I can remeber seeing was Piper's Legendary match with Greg Valentine. Just beating the piss out of each other from pillar to post and arguably, Jimmy Jacobs and Aries Blood feud where they had the dog collar match back in 2008...that to me had so much pure emotion and violence that I think that if you can utilize that match when used sparingly is one of the best matches you can have.

- Raven in TNA/ROH - Is there any debate that during his time in those two companies that he was one of the more influential names that sparked some of the best feuds especially with CM Punk in ROH. When he feuded with Jarrett in TNA it really focused on the psychology and while both workers were aged, Raven's smart business like mind for the ring really added depth and interest into that feud.

- The Kings Of Wrestling - Was one of the best Independent Tag Teams going till Larry Sweeney got in the way of things between Claudio and Chris Hero.

- Benoit vs Triple H matches - Always a great mix between the technical and physical aspects of Wrestling that was really a bright spot in 2004.

- Jushin Liger in WCW - The way he was presented in WCW, he really was treated as a Five Star act and here in the States really put on some great matches with Sting and Flair.

- Young Jeff Hardy - Are we talking about when he first got into the WWF in 1995? That sort of Jeff? If that is the case then he was incredibly limber and could bump with a tremendous rate. As the years went by, he continued to botch his maneuvers and got into troubles with drugs showing his rather immature side but really was a unique individual with some talent for the business.

- TLC matches - A nice sort of plunder is developed whenever a TLC match is announced. The violence in this match really helped to set the tone towards the competition that can sometimes be missing when a match like this has so much on the line.

- Steve Corino - An ingenius mind to this wrestling business that if somebody extended their hand to him would be able to benefit greatly from the mindset that he like Raven like Foley and like Lance Storm can view from this business on how creative storylines and the in's and out's of the wrestling business go about. A talent that I felt was vastly under-utilized but I am still looking for that Interview Corino if you do happen to read this at some point in your lifetime.

- The Briscoe Brothers<!-- google_ad_section_end --> - Rough and Tough No Sellers for Ring of Honor. You legitimeatly have to consider the amount of heat they get is because for the most part, their act can get stale. I wish Jay finally turned Heel and is just another example of ROH extenuating storylines way to long.

Re: 15. THOUGHTS ON

- Best British wrestler ever?
It'd be a toss up between Billy Robinson and Dyno.

- Dog collar matches
My favorite stipulation match. Sadly, very few wrestlers have shown that they know how to work one. Best one was easily Piper vs Valentine.

- Raven in TNA/ROH
Raven was one of the main reasons why I got into TNA. For his time in the company, he was one of the biggest highlights. Even though his time in ROH was a lot shorter, he was part of the first true great feud in the company against CM Punk. Ironically, his dog collar match at Death Before Dishonor remains one of my favorites from the year and ROH in general.

- The Kings Of Wrestling
I assume just the team of Claudio and Hero? Great heat seekers and were able to bring something that most ROH teams couldn't to the game - real heat.

- Benoit vs Triple H matches
The matches showed just how limited Hunter's talent became after his first knee surgery. Their No Mercy 2000 match was a MOTYC while their 2004 and 2005 matches were a disappointment (Not counting the triple threats with Michaels). The fact that we got a Benoit vs Hunter PPV match in 2004 over a Benoit vs Michaels match is BS.

- Jushin Liger in WCW
One of the better wrestlers WCW had in the first half of the 90's. Pillman vs Liger remains in the league of Dyno/Tiger Mask and Guerrero/Mysterio.

- Young Jeff Hardy
Very spotty, but damn entertaining. I was a big Jeff fan back in the day when he still had speed.

- TLC matches
Extremely spotty, but fun matches. The most important thing about these matches were that the tag team titles were pushed back to the forefront. Even though not everyone will like spotfests, it's hard not to appreciate the titles being important again.

- Steve Corino
One of the best non-WWE wrestling personalities of the past decade. More than being a good wrestler, but was extremely entertaining to listen to. His ROH introductions remain some of the best in ROH history.

- The Briscoe Brothers
Before they became non-selling brawlers, they were very good wrestlers. Feud with AJ Styles/Amazing Red, Second City Saints and Aries/Strong are tag feuds I feel should be remembered more fondly than spotfest feud with Steenerico. Much like TLC, even during the spotty feud, the tag titles were the most important titles in the company. It's hard to complain when a company spotlights a title like that.

Re: 15. THOUGHTS ON

- Best British wrestler ever?
Has to be the Dynamite Kid. He helped keep technical wrestling alive through the birth of the storylines in the eighties. Plus, he has inspired countless professional wrestlers and was able to succeed whether it was tag team or singles.

- Dog colllar matches
I've only seen two good dog collar matches. And because they should be used for the more intense, personal feuds, it really brings out the emotion and hatred between two rivals in the eyes of the fans.

- Raven in TNA/ROH
Raven in ROH definately helped the company lift off. That was a very intense feud with CM Punk, and he put on some good matches in the promotion. He was great for that company because he was a great brawler good for these sorts of feuds to keep people on their seats. Plus he was smart. He knew what he was doing. I started watching TNA after he won the King of the Mountain match, so from there, I thought he was going to be a major league player. I saw the brains he cotributed to the company, but I wish I saw more of him in the upper card.

- The Kings Of Wrestling
They were my favorite tag team around that time, and I knew they were going to deteriorate when Sweet and Sour came around. But, they were always criticised and overestimated from fans. Hero is simply entertaining, Claudio is escentric and a good pure wrestler. Plus, it introduced Claudio into ROH full time, and he started getting a good push until the heel run. I sometimes wish they got back together full time.

- Benoit vs Triple H matches
Triple H unfortunately could not hold up with Benoit. Benoit knew this though, and Benoit carried Triple H when needed. But Triple H did help with a good match when Benoit first got here, and a good triple threat match at Wrestlemania 20.

- Jushin Liger in WCW
He did help bring their cruiserweight division in fruition, and he was a good choice to do so. So much, he got more from that, and he truly deserved it. Great early 90's superstar. The Pillman series was fun to watch, and I wish I saw high octane cruiserweight matches in the WWE today.

- Young Jeff Hardy
You could tell he was going to be the more popular out of the two Hardys, not taking anything away from Matt. He took more risks, which got him to the fans. I find MAtt a tad more entertaining today because of his mic skills, but Jeff really made himself who he is today, because how he was when he was young.

- TLC matches
Very entertaining matches. It was a great gimmick idea, and putting three of the most entertaining tag teams (E & C, Hardys, 3D) in the first ones (summerslam and Wrestlemania) is what boosted its popularity. It is very spotty, and it is a match where it can be as spotty as it wants and it is still great. I thought when they've turned it into singles with Edge and Cena and Taker, it would be lackluster, but it is still exciting and still fun. Plus, they don't wear it out like Last Man Standing or Cage.

- Steve Corino
He is in my top five non-wrestlers, my top ten wrestlers, and my second favorite heel. Kind of like what I was saying about Raven, he was good in getting put in positions to boost promotions and wrestlers. He had brains. What a great guy.

- The Briscoe Brothers
I think when they started aligning with Jim Cornette I started seeing their downfall. They were becoming more riskier. MArk Briscoe was getting fragile. They sold no DQ matches like crazy. I still like them, but I don't see them becoming a dominant force.

Re: 15. THOUGHTS ON

- Best British wrestler ever?
Billy Robinson for sure.

- Dog colllar matches
Pretty good stipulation that I'd rather see the WWE use than 90% of their other stips. Raven seemed to have good understanding of how to make them work. Can be brutal as all fuck.

- Raven in TNA/ROH

I wouldn't be hard pushed to say, despite being broken down, it was better than his ECW work. The fued with Punk was good, because Raven was the star of the matches and he MADE Punk. He also carried guys in TNA to good matches too. Definately one of the reasons I got into TNA at the time,

- The Kings Of Wrestling
Really entertaining tag team. The CHIKARA WTGP Finals from 2006 with them against Millano and Skayde may be the best CHIKARA match I've seen. Wouldn't be opposed to a reformation if I'm being honest. It would certainly make me interested in Hero in ROH again.

- Benoit vs Triple H matches

The No Mercy 2000 holds up really well as most stuff from 2000 does, but even after the quad tear I still think their later matches were pretty good. Benoit always brought out the best Trips, and Hunder seemed to up his game. The Vengeance 2004 match is pretty good, though it does go too long and has the BS finish. Their match from the Eddie memorial show was also really good and Trips busted his ass in that match.

- Jushin Liger in WCW
Thought the Konnan match was alright, though I havent been impressed from what I've seen of him there. Thought the Pillman match was massively overated and full of shitty selling.

- Young Jeff Hardy

Yet to see a Hardy single match I like more than the Ladder match with Taker (maybe the Umaga cage match?). He was a much better highflyer back then due to him working at a much quicker pace, and I think he had worked better as the young guy with a lot of heart than he does now he is more mature.

- TLC matches
Enjoyed them as a 12 year old mark, but man is rewatching them a pain in the ass. Cena/Edge was pretty good though far, far from flawless and just shows that they better suited to multiman matches (less downtime). The ones with Jericho/Benoit and Kane were the best.

- Steve Corino
Love him. Such a great heel. The fued with Homicide is still one of the best indy fueds ever, and his ECW works still holds up really well. The Tajiri match is easily one of the best matches in ECW history.

- The Briscoe Brothers
Seem to swing from very good to awful at any given night. Would never call them a great tag team. They have the basics down... at times, with basic cutting-the-ring-in-half stuff, but their actual tag psycology rarely ever extends beyond that. Their tag match with Joe and Danielson, for example, was pretty average. Never put them in a hardcore match as it will be a disaster. And then there is the ridiculously bad no-selling. Atleast they have a lot of personality, I enjoy their promos for the genuine retardation. I'd say they are best suited to working 20 minute sprints.

Re: 15. THOUGHTS ON

- Best British wrestler ever?
I would say Nigel McGuinness, but he has so many years left so I can't say he's the best ever. Dynamite Kid is one of the best ring technicians. One of the best matches I've seen in general was one between him and Tiger Mask.

- Dog colllar matches
In the top three of my favorite hardcore style matches; along with steel cage and first blood. The one with Roddy Piper and Greg Valentine is still the best after how long ago it happened. Wish they would happen more often, but can understand that it doesn't due to the medical risks; aka Piper losing his hearing.

- Raven in TNA/ROH
Never got a chance to see him while in Ring of Honor. And then I didn't get to see him in his best days of TNA.

- The Kings Of Wrestling
These guys are great as individuals, so they must have been great as a team.

- Benoit vs Triple H matches
Recently saw their match from Vengeance in 04, really good until the end. Weren't terrible not the best either. And Benoit made HHH work hard during the match.

- Jushin Liger in WCW
Great job getting the cruiserweight division going. He could have done, but I think he had some sort of surgery that kept him away. At least I think that's what I remember.

- Young Jeff Hardy
The Hardy that I thought was more liked. Taking risks always sticks out more to the fans. A great match was when he was in a ladder match against Taker around the time when they first had the WWE draft.

- TLC matches
Mick Foley made the announcement for the first one ever, but don't know who actually created it. Whoever did, kudos. Takes a whole new meaning to Tender Love & Care. WrestleMania X7 with the Dudley's, Hardy's, and E & C was unforgettable. I still remember watching it live. Edge speaing Jeff from the huge ladder was the best.

- Steve Corino
Great wrestler. One of my personal favorites. Recently saw a 1PW match between him and Christian that took place around 2006. Two great wrestlers putting on a clinic. It's on youtube if people wanna check that out.

- The Briscoe Brothers
A good team. I haven't seen a lot of great matches from them as I'm limited in finding matches with them. One move I like that they do is a version of the Doomsday Device. Instead of the top turnbuckle, one of them springs off the top rope.
