You havent lived till you've recieved a blowjob, while taking a shit, while preforming oral sex on a woman. Yeah, beat that one land of the living! To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
I've seen all of that stuff but the Terry Funk vs. Sabu. I dont believe beating the shit out of another person with barbed wire is REAL wresting.
He's using it as an expression I assume.. kind of like "You haven't lived unless you've...".
Austin/Bret Submission.
Yeah, I just find it a weird thought. Because I know there are many many passionate and hardcore fans of current pro wrestling out there who are far more "real" fans in that sense than I am, yet I know I've seen a lot more historical and diverse stuff thant they have.
Randy Savage vs Ricky Steamboat - WM III
The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels - Hell in the Cell Badd Blood 1997
Samoe Joe vs Kenta Kobashi - ROH Joe vs Kobashi
Kenta Kobashi vs Mitsuharu Misawa - Jan 1997 All Japan
Kobashi-Kikuchi vs Furnas-Kroffat - May 1992 All Japan
Tiger Mask vs Dynamite Kid - New Japan all of them

This is sort of my feelings.
I know this is going to come off as me being up myself - as usual - but there will be those who consider themselves to be huge fans or bigger than myself and others, yet have not watched that big of variety.
I wouldn't say any matches in particular (though there are obviously some I would consider must-see to fans), but I think so much as the diversity of different styles, wrestlers and promotions is what seperates hardcore-casuals to what people would say are the "real" fans.
Also - this totally reminded me of the Tom/Joel "you ain't no real wrestling fan" lolfest.

Re: You not a REAL wrestling fan unless you've seen..
That's the FIRST thing I thought of too.
And I agree, to be a REAL fan you need to see some of the best of every world to really have a good understanding. I'd say a good history too would help. Whether it's lucha, puro, catch-as-catch-can, hardcore, etc. you should really try to get at least a little exposure to everything to really appreciate what you see. Plus it might open new doors of a style you really enjoy.
