Pro Wrestling Psychology
Needs to be good for the match to be good, simple as that. Its all very well having a mindless spotfest but it won't mean anything without good psychology behind it. There needs to be a reason for what they are doing or its pointless.
90's Shawn Michaels or 00's Shawn Michaels?
2000s. He has easily had more great matches since his return in 2002 then he had had in the rest of his career before that.
The Big Show or Mark Henry?
The best thing about both guys is their mic skills, but Show is way better in the ring and is also more charismatic. I can't imagine any Mark Henry match being good, whereas Show has pretty good matches regularly. Considering his size, he is pretty agile and will take bumps, whereas if I was told to sum up Henry in one word, I'd choose ''immobile''.
The Dudley Boys/Team 3D
I love them. I have still yet to see them in ECW, but I got into wrestling at a time when the tag division meant something, and these guys along with the Hardys and Edge and Christian represent the standard all other teams should aspire to reach. They work great as a team, although recently the best thing about them is easily their mic skills. Brother Ray is one of the best in the business at making you care about a match through his promos imo. He seems so real and makes every match seem huge.
Favourite match of all time?
Rock vs Austin Mania 17
CM Punk's ROH title run
From what I've seen of it, pretty great.
Best Vader match?
The one when he busted up Foley on request? lol, I've not seen much.
Eddie Guerrero or Shawn Michaels?
The best of all time, Shawn Michaels.

Rey Vs Eddie - HH match was awesome, i advise anyone who are fans of these two to check it out.
Shaun Michaels - I loved his character in 90's, loved his matches in 00's.
Definately 90's one though as his matches were still good. His charcter was kind of "bad ass" which i think suits / suited HBK alot
Big Show or Mark Henry - Big show, or "the Giant" back in wcw when he was missle drop kicking of the top rope.
Team 3D - The heat they get / got was amazing. They are much better as heels for me but then again still damn good faces. Like they say and have aspired to be , top 3 Tag teams ever ( for me )
Favourite Match of all time - Wow, that is a damn tough one. Alot spring to mind straight away with out giving alot of thaught to it..
WM17:TLC2, WM20: HHH vs HBK vs Benoit, Backlash 06, HBK vs Shane and Vince ( That spot he did off the ladder made md leap out my chair )
All the great Hell in a Cell matches like HHH vs Cactus, HBK vs Taker.. so hard to just pick one. I'l edit my post if i can think / find a personal #1 favourite.
Eddie or Shaun - Has to be HBK but i did love Eddie
- Pro wrestling psycology
Its what defines good matches from great matches.
- Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerrero: Halloween Havoc '97 or Smackdown 23/6/05?
I honestly haven't seen the smackdown one, but the HH is hard to beat.
- 90's Shawn Michaels or 00's Shawn Michaels?
90's. I love the cocky heel Shawn Micheals. I like the 00's Michaels too, but the 90's was so much more entertaining.
- The Big Show or Mark Henry?
Both suck
- The Dudley Boys/Team 3D
Meh
- Favourite match of all time?
Punk vs. Joe III at All Star Extravaganza 2
- CM Punk's ROH title run
It was a fun title reign. I think WWE had to much influence on ROH with all the run-ins and faulty finishes (even on the non-main event matches). But it really was fun trying to navigate the dying ROH boards because of traffic to see if it was finally the night Punk lost the belt.
- Generation Next
Pushed Aries and Strong to main event levels. Aries is one of the main men in ROH, and Strong is in the tier just below that. Jack Evans made for some fun spots, and Alex Shelley is a great wrestler as well. It was a great faction while it lasted.
- Eddie Guerrero or Shawn Michaels? Good question. I think both men had there best year in 1997, but still produced quality stuff throughout the years. I will almost always choose HBK over many other men just because I am a HBK mark. Always have because of me and Shawn sharing the same hometown.

- Pro wrestling psycology
I like rpd's statement of it seperating the good matches from the great matches, sums up my sentiments on it.
- Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerrero: Halloween Havoc '97 or Smackdown 23/6/05?
The smackdown match. A fantastic story-based match will always top a fantastic spot-based match.
- 90's Shawn Michaels or 00's Shawn Michaels?
90's HBK had a way better persona and a far more interesting character though I'm still not convinced he was every as good as people say. 00's has the better matches but way more annoying habits.
- The Big Show or Mark Henry?
Big Show is probably one of the best WWE guys going these days and has a far better understanding of big-little psycology than most other big men through history.
- The Dudley Boys/Team 3D
Pretty useless in the ring these days though they are still amusing in a comedy/charisma sort of way. Made Beer Money look half-watchable at the last TNA PPV I bothered to watch.
- Favourite match of all time? 6/9/95
- CM Punk's ROH title run Maybe the best indy angle of the decade though to be fair it did pretty much live off the heat smarks have for the 'E. Punk's promos in particular were great and the chase with Gibson, Strong and Daniels was pretty epic even though I thought Danielson should have won it, not Gibson. >_>
- Best Vader match?
Off the to of my head, the strap match with Sting was pretty great.
- Generation Next Pretty fun though not anything special. I dug them as faces more than heels.
- Eddie Guerrero or Shawn Michaels? Guerrero easily. Better brawler, better on the mat, better babyface, better heel, more charismatic, more intense, punches that actually look like they could hurt, dives that don't miss their opponent, not shoved down the audience's throats... sounds about right.

Quite possibly the single most important part of a match? Without any psychology at all, a match lacks any sort of story, flow, continuity or drama. What's the point of watching then? It would be like a complete spotfest, but often without the whoa factor of the big spots. You would often get a jumbled and illogical mess, then someone hits a finisher. How fun would that be to watch?
If you look at "legimitate" competitive sports, the most memorable games and matches are the ones with the most drama. Context matters, but so does the drama (or story) within the game or match. That drama is the equivilent of psychology in wrestling. Since wrestling is not based on "legitimate" competition, that drama is all the more important.
- Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerrero: Halloween Havoc '97 or Smackdown 23/6/05?
I would have to go back and what the HH '97 match, to be honest.
- 90's Shawn Michaels or 00's Shawn Michaels?
1990s. He was one of the best things in the W at oen of ht
- The Big Show or Mark Henry?
The Big Show, by a long ways. Always felt like Show as the kind of big man you could essentially build a company - or at least a brand - around. Never really had that feeling with Mark Henry.
- The Dudley Boys/Team 3D
I respect what they've accomplished, but are they truly one of the greatest tag teams of all time? For all the titles they can claim, they just don't "feel" as great as some of the other great teams.
- Favourite match of all time?
Kobashi vs Samoa Joe. Oddly, I don't think its the best match either man has produced, yet it opened up a whole new area of interest for me - ROH, puro, and all of that.
- CM Punk's ROH title run
From what I've seen of it, damned fun.
- Best Vader match?
Vader vs Kobashi, All Japan Champions Carnival 99. Vader did some good work in AJPW in the late 90s.
- Eddie Guerrero or Shawn Michaels?<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
Eddie.

- Pro wrestling psycology
Highly important to a wrestling match, in his prime Jake Roberts was the master of psychology, he knows how it works & how it should be. Raven took this on board and was alot better off for it.
- The Big Show or Mark Henry?
Neither are the greatest of wrestlers, but i'll go with Show, he's done better and rightfully so, although alot of his success can be attributed to his height in my opinion.
- The Dudley Boys/Team 3D
One of the greatest teams of the late 20th/21st century, although alot say Bubba/Buh-Buh/Brother Ray is abit of a dick alot of people say, but they've been very succesful for a reason, they've been top teams in ECW, WWE & TNA, not to mention Japan. Hopefully they've got plenty of good years ahead of them.
- Eddie Guerrero or Shawn Michaels?<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
Hmm, hard one, although Michaels is sort of more lengendary, I think Guerrero had a better wrestling education, if you know what I mean, he was probably the better wrestler, but Michaels is perhaps the better showman.
