I was just watching Bad Blood 2003 (awful ppv) but JR said something interesting during the HBK-Flair match. Flair dominated the 80s, HBK dominated the 90s. Which is a discussion for another day. But it made me think with this decade on it way out who is gonna be the man of the 00s. Im thinking Triple H or Taker. Triple H has been at the top from the start of the decade and will still be a main eventer at the end same with Taker I know politics have played a part with Triple H but nobody can deny he is good. Stone Cold and The Rock didnt really go through the majority of the decade but nobody could deny if they did wrestle through to today they would be the men with Taker and Triple H up there as well. Who will be remembered as the man of this decade?
I wouldn't say John Cena. He's dominated the last five years, no question, but he wasn't even around in the earlier part of the decade, so I'm going to have to say Triple H or The Undertaker, but really.. what does 'dominated' even mean these days? How they were booked or how well they worked?
Like with any decade, you just can't limit it to one person. For every Flair in the 80's, there's a Hogan. A good way to figure it out accurately, is to break it down per year:
2000:Triple H (Rock - Runner Up) 2001:Steve Austin (The Rock - Runner Up) 2002:Brock Lesnar (Triple H - Runner Up) 2003:Triple H (Brock Lesnar - Runner Up) 2004:JBL (Chris Benoit - Runner Up) 2005:Batista (John Cena - Runner Up) 2006:John Cena (Triple H/DX - Runner Up) 2007:John Cena (Randy Orton - Runner Up) 2008:Triple H (Chris Jericho - Runner Up) 2009:Triple H (Edge - Runner Up) Thus Far
While some of these can be disputed, it would definitely look like Triple H has dominated the decade. There's no one guy that was in control at the beginning of the decade, the middle and at the end. That is the one thing that Cena just can't beat Hunter with. Some one other thing to note of this decade:
- Brock Lesnar - For just the two short years he was on the main roster, he dominated both years. Had he stayed with the WWE, I believe Hunter and Cena would of had some major competition for the second half of the decade.

I like the idea..
I would definately say HHH has dominated the decade.
But the last half for me was dominated by cena and his legion of 10 year old fans.
Cena does deserve credit though for taking the spot light of HHH

I'll break it down, like you.
2000 - The Rock (Runner up is Triple H)
2001 - Steve Austin (Runner Up is Kurt Angle)
2002 - Brock Lesnar (Runner Up is Triple H)
2003 - Brock Lesnar (Runner Up is Triple H)
2004 - JBL (Runner Up is Triple H)
2005 - John Cena (Runner Up is Batista)
2006 - John Cena (Runner Up is DX)
2007 - John Cena (Runner Up is Randy Orton)
2008 - Triple H (Runner Up is Jeff Hardy)
2009 So Far - Triple H (Runner Up is Randy Orton)
If you break it down in points, the winner getting 2 and runner up getting 1, triple H has 8 and Cena follows with 6. Althoug this year isn't over and there is still next year, plus, these are just my opinions.

No one dominated this decade like Triple H. His feud with Shawn Michaels, should be the feud of the decade because it was a long, heated, and enjoyable rivalry and there was some memorable matches, feuds, and backstabs to go along with it. Triple H won the WHC and WWE title for the total of 11 times from 2000-present, he was the second ever grand slam champion in WWE (HBK was first), by winning his first World Tag Title with Stone Cold as the Two-Man Powertrip, winning the 2002 Royal Rumble, unforgettable heel run throughout 2000-2006, all this decade. Like him or hate him, he earns the spot as the most dominate wrestler this decade.

IMO it goes to Edge. He is a 4 time WHC, 4 time WWE champ, 2 time MITB (doesn't matter how he won the 2nd, he won it and used it), 2001 King of the Ring, and is the only person win all 3 Raw titles and all 3 SD! titles. And his song kicks ASS!
