And yet he only became a main eventer in 2006, and all his reigns combined don't add up to Cena or Triple H's longest.

Edge is one of the most decorated wrestlers ever, but nobody can claim to have dominated when their longest ever title reign is about 3 months.

Its clearly HHH. Just look at all the Wrestlemania main events he has been in, and how he is the only guy who has been pretty much constantly main eventing from the start of the decade right up until now. He doesn't deserve it, but he is the man WWE want us to remember as the top guy of this decade. That much is obvious from video packages anyway. Like at the start of any WWE show, the last image you see when they are showing great moments from WWE history is HHH with the title. They also pretend his undisputed title win in 2002 is one of the great WM moments.

"A few weeks prior to signing with WCW, I witnessed Hogan wrestle Flair on Nitro. Now strictly from a fan perspective, it was very hard to watch. What I witnessed that night was two legends that were shells of their former selves still trying to do it. Watching Hogan & Flair that night just wasn't right. In my opinion the bookers were just exploiting them to try to pop a number. It was a desperate situation and that's exactly the way it came across on TV."

Because I don't think the year 2000 should count. It would be 2001-2010, if we're going by every ten years since the beginning of time.

Re: Who Dominated This Decade

I would say The UnderTaker. He has remind on top all of this decade. He does not need to be in every WrestleMania main event. His fans stick to him and never boo him. He has never fallen off the mountain. He has clearly out preformed all of the WWE roster.

But dominated? "He does not need to be in every WrestleMania main event." That's not exactly a sign of dominance though.

Re: Who Dominated This Decade

The Gregorian Calendar starts with year 1, therefore, every ten years is technically 1-11, instead of 0-10. However, Thomas' example is ridiculous, because when you call it the 80s decade, you're obviously beginning with the year 1980, making the culmination 1990. When referring to things dating back(such as millennia) you'd end with a 1 though. i.e. the new millennium technically started in 2001, not 2000.

oh, and Triple H.

I'm tired of chasing my dreams. From now on, I'm gonna ask where they're going and just meet them there.

Re: Who Dominated This Decade

Um, no. "Time" would have started in year 0 and then progressed e.g. 0 years 1 day, etc Therefore the millenium started at 00:00am on Jan 1st 2000.

oh, and Triple H.

If you look at the first post he mentioned who lead the 80s and 90s. Thus Tom using the 80s makes sense...

Okaybut there is a fine line between dominating the 80's (80-89) and dominating the decade, say, '85 is in (81-90).

That is how time works, yes. But that isn't how we recorded. Historians started keeping track in the year 1, so the first decade was 1-11.
