Great match HHH vs Flair, and the main event build up and ending was immense. The whole Smackdown vs Raw, and with Batista on the same page as JBL was cool.
Judgement day 05 was good, with the good i quit match with CENA vs JBL
And summerslam 05, - awesome ladder match, eddie vs Rey. Batista vs JBL street fight, and others which i cant think of right now.
It had an awesome main event in Triple H/Batista Hell in a Cell, and the undercard was great. You had Michaels/Angle, Cena/Jericho/Christian and an IC Title match that delivered. Just great from top to bottom.

2005 was such a terrible year for WWE PPV's. It's the year in which average was seen as great due to the sheer volume of crap. There were two shows that saved the year. There's the obvious Vengeance, however; in order to make it so good, they had to cut the PPV down to only 6 matches. The other one is one that I feel is forgotten in terms of the better PPV's from the Post-brand era. Backlash was the last WWE PPV that I ordered (Not counting ECW One Night Stand) and ends up being the one 2005 WWE PPV that I didn't regret spending money on (Ironically, it's also the one I accidentally taped over. Benoit vs Edge put on a great match to little surprise. Jericho vs Benjamin was better than their Taboo Tuesday Match. Hurricane and Rosey finally won the big one. Hogan and Michaels teamed up and made their match special enough to enjoy. Even Viscera vs Kane wasn't as bad as I expected it to be.
As for Wrestlemania, it wasn't nearly the best PPV of the year. Outside of Taker vs Orton, MITB and Angle vs Michaels, everything is trash. 3 matches hardly makes a great show.
