Everyone surely has matches they can only dream about. The matches that even now would make you mark like a little girl and forget about the internet altogether. So my question is, what are some of the main "dream matches" that you'd love to see but will never happen (or are likely to never happen)?
Edit: Don't just list them, please try to give some reasoning.

I have never been a huge Sting fan, but when there was talk of him not re-signing with TNA and instead signing a short term deal with WWE, it hit me just how epic it would be for Sting to have a run in WWE leading to a match with Undertaker. I could go on and explain why it would be so epic, but everybody knows. The most famous wrestler never to set foot in a WWE ring, finally in there with the Phenom. Their characters would work so well together.
Steve Austin vs John Cena
This would preferably be in a no DQ environment, but would be great either way. The biggest stars of their respective eras, both amazing brawlers, and both capable of producing consistently great matches on PPV. This would be a sight to behold. The crowd reaction would be amazing, and the match itself could live up to the hype considering how hard Cena works and how reliable he is on the big stage. A brawl between these two may well be one of the best matches ever. Shame that Austin won't wrestle again.
The Rock vs John Cena
A lot compare Cena to the Rock, and like the Austin match, it would be a case of two guys representing their own respective era going one on one in what would surely be a great match. They are both fairly similar wrestlers in ways, and the crowd would be hot for this. I can just imagine all the counters and signature moves now. The sharpshooter vs the STF, The Rock Bottom vs the ''Attitude Adjustor'', the People's Elbow vs the 5 knuckle Shuffle. It would be an epic match between two of the best showmen ever.
I will be back with more.

I could easily see this match happening again in the future, whether it be SD vs RAW interpromotional match or they actually feud, but a ladder match is just that, a dream. These two... I can just see them being amazing in one. The guy who revolutionized them in the past against a guy who is known for them. You have no idea how much I'd mark for this. I'll even swear off the internet should it ever be announced until it happens, that's how much I'd mark out for it.

Yes, I have a GIF of two women kissing.
Yes, it's hot. Yes it's Megan Fox kissing another woman from Jennifer's Body. Yes, it's hot... owait, I already said that. Yes, I'm aware this makes me sound like a total lesbian. But this scene? UNF.
Undertaker vs. Bruiser Brody Plain and simple, the two best big man workers of all-time, they both have (or had) the ability to adapt to lots of styles, both have somewhat of a monster gimmick, AND most importantly, two of my favorites =).
Bret Hart is obviously done with wrestling and has said he has no desire to get in the ring again nor be apart of the show anymore. Kurt Angle is in TNA and is probably never leaving. So there's two things. Bret Hart is done with wrestling and they would have to find a good avenue to do it through and TNA in my eyes doesn't deserve to have that good of a match on their watch. In TNA it wouldn't get the promoting it would deserves and it's just not the right place to do it.
Mitsuharu Misawa/Ric Flair, Great Muta/Flair, Kenta Kobashi/Flair
The only reason I could never see these happening is because Ric Flair recently in an interview I watched, he said he has no desire whatsoever to wrestle again. If he did still kind of have the desire to wrestle again then I could see Flair doing a retirement tour over in Japan and these guys being his opponents. I think Japan deserves to have a Ric Flair Retirement Tour because he was a big part of Japan back in the day and because Japanese fans are better than American fans so they deserve more. It's just like with music. European and Japanese fans are better loyal fans and not fickle and flimsy American fans so they deserve to get all the good shows and tours. All these matches would be instant classics. All are my top favorites of all time.
Eddie Guerrero vs. The Undertaker
They never had a one on one match against eachother and I think that it would just be phenomenal but obviously it can't happen since Eddie is dead (R.I.P)
Bret Hart vs. Eddie Guerrero
Again, Bret Hart is done with wrestling and Eddie is dead (R.I.P) This would no doubt be another instant classic match.
Bryan Danielson vs. Bret Hart
Again, Bret is done with wrestling and even if he wasn't I just couldn't see any way that they could have this match happen. Again, another instant classic match.
Shawn Michaels vs. Bryan Danielson
Danielson is in ROH and Michaels is in WWE. Simple as that. If Danielson ever did come to WWE, which I wouldn't want that but I'm just saying, if he ever did, he would be watered down so the match wouldn't be as good as it could be if it happened in ROH for example.
Shawn Michaels vs. Nigel McGuinness
Basically the same thing I said for HBK/Danielson.
Shawn Michaels/Great Muta, Michaels/Kobashi and Michaels/Misawa
Michaels in WWE and they wrestle in Japan. Never gonna happen unless when Michaels retires from WWE and does a Japan retirement tour but he would have no reason to because he was never really apart of Japan like Flair was. Another instant classic match, just with no way it could ever happen.
Plus tons more that I can think of that I might list at a later date in this thread. Just not right now.

Two solid in ring technicians, who would thrill audiences like no other.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage vs. The Great Muta
Especially if this took place in 1989. As far as American mainstream audiences went at the time, this was a match between two of the United States, premier high flyers. Macho's big elbow, vs. Muta's Moonsault. The Double Ax Handle from the top rope to the ring floor vs. Muta's handspring elbow. And who wouldn't wanna see Savage's reaction when Muta blows the green mist and Savage ducks causing Elizabeth to take the mist to her face?
Steiner Brothers vs. The British Bulldogs
The Steiner's smash mouth ameteur style vs. the rough and ready style of the Bulldogs. Two very different technical styles paired up against each other. Give them about 20 minutes and fans would be talking about that match for years afterwards.
The Rockers vs. The Midnight Express
Two early masters of tag-team tandem offense meeting would guarantee we'd see double team moves we've probably never seen before.
The Rockers vs. The Hardy Boys
These two mirrored each other especially early in the Hardy's career. It'd be nice to see them fare off.
Sting (late 80's) vs. John Cena
Say what you want about Cena, (and I've said a lot) he brings emotion to a match, and the Stinger back in the late 80's fed off that emotion to deliver classic matches. This would be the headliner to any Wrestlemania or Starrcade.
Bob Holly vs. Stan Hansen
Everybody knows about Holly's willingness to be stiff with talent in the ring, even when they didn't deserve it. Being put in the ring with the blind as a bat mauler from Borger TX, would teach Holly a lesson. You can be stiff with the man that broker Bruno Sammartino's neck, and broke Vader's eye socket causing his eye to bulge out of his head, but in the end you'd be lucky to leave in one piece. Eat your heart out JBL, Stan's got the real clothesline from hell
Batista vs. Dr. Death Steve Williams
The Animal, vs. The Good Doctor. This would be a legendary brawl, plus these two had a legimitate claim to being bad asses in real life. Might be one of the hardest hitting matches ever.
Vladimir Kozlov vs. Goldberg
The modern day "unstoppable" monster vs. the last of the "unstopppable" monsters. The match would be, meh but the build up would be phenominal.
Batista vs. Kenta Kobashi
Massive muscular chest of Batista, meeting the Ma-chine Gun choppuuuu--match made in heaven.
CM Punk vs. Kazushi Sakuraba (UWFi Rules)
This would be beyond awesome especially in light of CM Punk's style change to an MMA based style. This would personally be to me, the ultimate in dream matches.
