I will be making more of these. Basically I name a random year in wrestling and you answer questions on it. I will be mainly sticking to fairly recent years so the majority of people were watching wrestling during the year in question, but if someone wants to make similar threads for ''classic'' years in wrestling (Jim perhaps?) then by all means go ahead.
So, our first year is 2004, mainly because of a discussion in Jim's Vengeance review about which was the worst PPV that year...
1. Best company/promotion?
2. Worst company/promotion?
3. Best wrestler?
4. Worst wrestler?
5. Best PPV?
6. Worst PPV?
7. Best weekly show?
8. Worst weekly show?
9. Best match?
10. Worst or most disappointing match?
11. Best Angle?
12. Worst Angle?
13. And seeing as this is 2004, best WWE brand overall, RAW or Smackdown?
If you don't feel like answering every question, or don't have the knowledge and/or memory to do so, leave some out.

1. Best company/promotion?
It's close between WWE and ROH, but I'm going to give this to WWE. Guerrero and Benoit's title wins, the best Royal Rumble ever, the rise of Randy Orton, the best match of Foley's career, JBL was more good than bad, plus alot going on in the undercards too. ROH had Punk and Joe being great but I can't recall too much else.
2. Worst company/promotion?
CZW?
3. Best wrestler?
Chris Benoit for sure. Only people who come close to being as great as him that year are Punk and Joe. Not that everyone else sucked, but the gap between Benoit and most others at that time was big.
4. Worst wrestler?
Eugene was awful. Not many guys were noticably bad through 2004 though.
5. Best PPV?
Wrestlemania XX: Amazing threat, very good Angle/Guerrero, a divas match that wasn't a shill, infamous Goldberg/Lesnar match which is hilarious to watch, really good Christian/Jericho match and the Evolution/Rock'n'Sock tag was so entertaining.
6. Worst PPV? Taboo Tuesday had nothing as far as redeeming features go. NOTHING.
7. Best weekly show? Tough, though Smackdown gets the nod. JBL/Eddie fued was booked to near perfection, Cena's rise was good, Angle and Eddie had some really good matches and the cruiserweight division was still good. RAW was also good but had too much Biscoff, Eugene and retarded Kane angles.
8. Worst weekly show?
Um... RAW for the previously mentioned Biscoff, Eugene and Kane stuff? Not that it was terrible or anything.
9. Best match?
Punk vs Joe III fo sho. I love their second match and the Wrestlemania triple threat, as well as stuff like Orton/Foley and the Rumble, but this was just amazing. Story-telling was fantastic, the emotion was off the charts, the crowd heat was there, great finish and one of the bet done turns in wrestling history imo.
10. Worst or most disappointing match?
Is there any other answer apart from Goldberg/Lesnar?
11. Best Angle?
The rise of Benoit.
12. Worst Angle?
Kane love triangles. No thanks, no thanks.
13. And seeing as this is 2004, best WWE brand overall, RAW or Smackdown? Wouldn't that just be the same as "Best weekly TV Show"?

in all seriousness it was Benoit's year but as far as popularity goes, it was the eyar cena was made. I remember watching smackdown everyweek for cena, and the crowd loved him.
