How Did You Discover Wrestling / What Made You A Fan?
Pretty simple question but one I've always been interested in.
Me personally, my dad watched wrestling so ever since i can remember I'd watch it with him and sometimes other family. My earliest wrestling memory being the Undertaker vs. Yokozuna RR match. Seeing Undertaker fight off all those huge guys then even after seemingly fall he rose up and promised to return... was so exciting. I was pretty damn young then too so it was really crazy to see. Move over Barney and friends, I had a new love. So my dad opened it up to me and the Undertaker sucked me in permanently.

Re: How Did You Discover Wrestling / What Made You A Fan?
I was in the same position. My step dad would watch it throughout the 90's and I would watch it. I was at such a young age that I don't think I could really follow it. I would just like some of the characters. I started getting more interested in it in elementary school, because my friends all watch it. This was around 1998-2000. I became a huge Rock fan throughout the era. I went to wrestling events when I was real young but the only one I remember from a young age was No Mercy 2000. Rocky lost though =/.

My mother used to watch it with her father. I used to watch it from 1982 till 2000 with my mother, and now I watch it with my daughter. I suppose its kind of a generational thing in my family.
Re: How Did You Discover Wrestling / What Made You A Fan?
I saw some of it here and there, but I never really caught onto it. That changed the day my dad's friend came over and ordered a PPV. I think it was Backlash 1999? or 2000? It was one of those. If I remember correctly, the eye candy of Trish Stratus got me hooked and Shane vs Big Show also had me hooked.
I also remember I found ECW on television, and thought it was fucking insane. Then the mother came into the room and told me to change it. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Re: How Did You Discover Wrestling / What Made You A Fan?
I was brought up on Bruce Lee films and other violent films like Death Wish etc so when I found a weekly show of the stuff I was over the moon. My earliest memory from wrestling was Hulk Hogan getting beaten up by the Road Warriors (I think it was them, correct me if I'm wrong 'cause I don't remember the team). Anyway he was getting a right beating until Ultimate Warrior came down and helped him. It was so awesome at the time, I remember running to my dad and telling him all about it.
Re: How Did You Discover Wrestling / What Made You A Fan?
My 1st wrestling memory was when I was staying the night at my cousin place and his dad ordered the Invasion PPV and I remember the Hardy vs. RVD match and was a fan of them ever since.
