The Outsiders were a professional wrestling tag team in World Championship Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment that was comprised of Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. The duo also teamed together in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, but without the Outsiders name.
History
The Outsiders were formed in 1996 when Nash and Hall "invaded" WCW after leaving the World Wrestling Federation. They insinuated that they were still WWF employees which got them the name of The Outsiders. They were the backbone of the nWo as they formed it with Hulk Hogan and they were always part of the various incarnations of it over the years. They stayed at the top of the tag team scene in WCW from 1996 until 1998 when the nWo split up. They teamed again in 1999 but it was brief as Hall got injured. They later returned to WWE in 2002 with Hogan as part of the nWo. The reunion would be short lived as Hogan turned face at WrestleMania X8, Nash was injured, and Hall was released from WWE shortly after their arrival. Next stop for them was Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in 2004 and early 2005 as part of the Kings of Wrestling but did not use The Outsiders name as it is now owned by World Wrestling Entertainment. They are both part of the backstage wrestling group known as The Kliq. During the initial days of the nWo, over in WWF, Jim Ross insinuated that "Razor Ramon and Diesel were returning." The characters did return, but now played by two different men, Glen Jacobs and Rick Bogner.

New Diesel and New Razor Ramon
New Diesel and New Razor Ramon was a combination of gimmicks used by the WWF (now WWE) to "bring back" two characters previously portrayed by Kevin Nash (The Original Diesel) and Scott Hall (The Original Razor Ramon). WWF owned the rights to their gimmicks so they could not portray Diesel and Razor Ramon while in WCW (although Hall briefly displayed Razor's characteristics, such as speaking with a Latino accent and chewing a toothpick, during his first WCW appearances. It was argued that the toothpick and slicked back hair was first used in WCW during Hall's previous stint as The Diamond Studd.). Having lost two of their top stars, WWF bookers came up with a storyline where a disgruntled Jim Ross cut a worked shoot promo, saying that he had no loyalty to the WWF and proceeded to "bring back" the two wrestlers who had left the company without mentioning that they were now portrayed by different people. The (onscreen) WWF President Gorilla Monsoon later stated that the New Diesel and New Razor Ramon were not Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, but it was already obvious to the fans as the new versions looked noticeably different from the originals. The New Diesel was Glen Jacobs (previously known as Isaac Yankem DDS), who would later realize better success, and a better crowd reaction, as Kane, "half-brother" of The Undertaker. The New Razor Ramon was Rick Bogner, who would be released from the WWF in early 1997 after the experiment to "bring back Diesel and Razor" failed. During this time, down in the AAA promotion in Mexico, Hall confronted both men in a worked-shoot confrontation in the middle of the ring, telling them "You don't want none of me and Big Kev!" Ironically enough, Jacobs (in his Kane persona) later feuded with the Nash-lead nWo, which also included Hall, in 2002.
