Austin Aries had a game plan as he drove into Dayton on June 27th for his scheduled match against The Age Of The Fall's Necro Butcher. Jimmy Jacobs, the leader of The Age Of The Fall, had attacked Aries' psyche in the past. He tried to psychologically torment Aries. The emotional battleground over Lacey became a physical war and is now a mental battle. Aries was ready to fight back in a way that Jimmy Jacobs never expected.

Aries, who is always filled with rage after Lacey was taken out of his life by the unspeakable actions of Jacobs (watch YouTube - You Forced Our Hand to see what we are talking about), immediately took the fight to The Necro Butcher in Dayton. He was looking for an opening. Once he got Necro down, he saw his chance to try to get into Necro's head.

"Why should I fight Necro Butcher and why should he fight me?" Aries said. "He wasn't in the car like Tyler and Joey and whoever the cameraman was. I took care of Joey later that night and Tyler and the cameraman are going to get theirs. Necro is an opinionated individual. Why don't we ever hear him speak? Why is he following Jimmy? Why is he fighting Jimmy's fights?"

Aries posed these questions to Necro, but then he spoke with his actions. Aries refused to fight back against The Necro Butcher. Aries put his arms behind his back and told one of the most brutal brawlers on earth that he wasn't going to fight back. Necro continued the attack, but you could see the hesitation in his actions as Aries absorbed punch after punch. Finally, Necro put a merciful end to the beating by delivering a chairshot and putting Aries down for the three count.

"Maybe my vision was a little blurry," Aries said. "But I think I saw something in Necro's eyes in Dayton. It was doubt Jimmy Jacobs. It was doubt about you and it was doubt about The Age Of The Fall. I know I saw it."

Aries didn't stop in Dayton. After Necro pinned Kevin Steen in a tag match the next night in Chicago, Aries once again asked Necro who he was fighting for. It was obvious that Jacobs sent Necro to try to slow Steen & El Generico's case for a ROH World Tag Team Title shot. Once again, Necro was fighting Jacobs' battle. Aries was trying to show Necro the truth.

The end of the Chicago event saw Aries up the ante. He earned the right to book a match with Jimmy Jacobs. He said he had an idea as Lacey told him one of Jacobs' secrets before she disappeared. Lacey told Aries about the match that Jacobs' fears the most. Aries announced a No DQ Match. The crowd was expecting more. Then Aries said it would be against The Necro Butcher. People were stunned. The match has been signed for the August 16th return to Chicago.

"Lacey saw the truth," Aries said. "Now Necro Butcher will see the truth. You offer nothing but a bunch of hot air, Jimmy Jacobs. Necro will see how you used him. He'll see how you sent him out to fight your battles. He'll realize this by August 16th and then he'll beat you all over the Frontier Fieldhouse for all the times you sent him out to do your bidding. It is all caving in around you Jimmy Jacobs."

We were unable to reach The Necro Butcher for comment, as he is difficult to contact. The Age Of The Fall camp has yet to respond except to send this statement: "The Necro Butcher is a member of The Age Of The Fall and believes in our revolution. Austin Aries is not presenting the truth and does not understand our cause or Necro's devotion to it."

The war between Austin Aries and Jimmy Jacobs is being fought on all fronts. Now Necro Butcher finds himself right in the middle of this intellectual battlefield. What side will he be on when ROH returns to Chicago on August 16th? Only the upcoming events can give us the answers as this situation gets more cerebral and violent.
