That's missing my point. I said nothing about how choke holds have been used in history.

At the moment, everyone is doing some kind of choke hold all over the WWE shows. From Undertaker to even Shawn Michaels a PPV or two ago. They're is a place for them but, at the moment, they are all over the place. It's being done in a manner that leads me to believe it's some kind of childish retribution because they stopped using them for a while Post-Benoit. It started up again with Umaga being choked by the ropes by Cena at last year's Rumble and now it's escalated to a ridiculous level.

Of course, there is place for them, no one is saying there isn't. But just not all the bloody time.

The crossface thing is weird. I've seen a few guys use that a lot recently and I'm not sure why.. Are they trying to pay some kind of respect to Benoit? Or are they trying to "take the move back" away from the murderer who never existed?

i dunno i find it stupid that people got butthurt that wwe did a tribute special to him, and that wwe never mentions him or anything that he ever did anymore, it's fucking stupid so i guess him winning the royal rumble and him winning at Wm20 never happened, at least thats what they want it to be, it just kinda pisses me off
