May 20th: We are less than two weeks away from the premiere of ROH "Take No Prisoners" on pay-per-view. A star will be born on May 30th when you can watch "Take No Prisoners" on iN DEMAND, The DISH Network and TVN cable systems. We are going to be really open with you here. We know a lot of you watch ROH PPV on the replays. Well, frankly our replay times on iN DEMAND for "Take No Prisoners" sucks due to WWE's PPV the same weekend. Mark your calendars because your best bet to watch ROH "Take No Prisoners" is the premiere airing on May 30th at 10pm. There is a complete preview now on the main page of ROHwrestling.com.

May 20th: The eight man, one night tournament to crown new ROH World Tag Team Champions on June 6th is taking shape. We have the first of two brackets to announce. It has:
-Jigsaw & Ruckus with Julius Smokes vs. Adam Pearce & Chris Hero with Larry Sweeney & Sara Del Rey
-ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness & Go Shiozaki vs. Kevin Steen & El Generico

May 20th: Nigel McGuinness successfully retained the World Title in a three-way vs. KENTA and BJ Whitmer last week in Tokyo, Japan at the famous Korakuen Hall.

Lance Storm Returns To ROH
Thursday, May 22, 2008



Lance Storm will make his long awaited return to Ring Of Honor on July 25th in Toronto, Ontario at the Ted Reeve Arena and July 26th in Detroit, MI at the Michigan State Fairgrounds. Tickets to both events are on sale now at ROH Wrestling or by calling 215-781-2500 .

A former champion in WWE, ECW and WCW, Storm brings credibility to ROH. He will be at both events as a special guest. ROHwrestling.com will have more information on Storm's appearances in the upcoming weeks. Storm will be available for autographs on both nights.

Storm previously appeared for ROH in 2005 at "Steel Cage Warfare" in Manhattan. Storm wrestled a memorable match against then ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson at "Better Than Our Best" in 2006. Storm was also the subject of an edition of the Straight Shootin' Series. All these titles are available at ROHwrestling.com.

Lance Storm is sure to make the 7/25 debut in Toronto even more special and the 7/26 Detroit show bigger. Stay tuned for more about Storm in the upcoming weeks.

Two PPV Tapings Announced

Ring Of Honor has set its next two pay-per-view tapings. ROH will tape PPV #7 on June 7th in Philadelphia will be "Respect Is Earned II". ROH PPV #8 will be taped on July 26th in Detroit. Tickets for both shows are now on sale at ROH Wrestling and Find a Ticketing Solution at Tickets.com or by calling 215-781-2500 .

ROH's 6th PPV is set to premiere on May 30th. Watch ROH "Take No Prisoners" from Philadelphia on May 30th on iN DEMAND, The DISH Network and TVN cable systems. The Philly fans made this PPV so electric and created such a great atmosphere that it was a no brainer for ROH to return to Philly to tape its next PPV.

Two main event quality matches have already been signed for PPV #7 to be taped on June 7th. You will witness Bryan Danielson & Austin Aries vs. Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black and a Fight Without Honor pitting Roderick Strong vs. Erick Stevens in Philly. Both these matches will be on ROH's 7th PPV. ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness will also defend the belt on June 7th. His opponent will be announced soon in the ROHwrestling.com Newswire.

June 2nd: ROH returns to action this weekend and it doesn't get much bigger than this for a doubleshot. Friday in Hartford will see new ROH World Tag Team Champions crowned in a one night, eight team tournament. Saturday in Philadelphia will be a pay-per-view taping. Kingston: "I'll Be In Philly"

It has gotten back to the ROH office and the camp of The Vulture Squad that Eddie Kingston has been running his mouth. Kingston and other members of BLKOUT had planned to crash ROH's PPV taping. Now they won't have to crash it. They will be invited guests.

Ruckus is part of two factions. In ROH, he is a member of The Vulture Squad with Jigsaw and Julius Smokes. Throughout the independents, he is part of BLKOUT with Eddie Kingston, Sabian and Robby Mireno. BLKOUT has taken exception to the fact that Ruckus is running with two crews. They even bought tickets and confronted Ruckus from the crowd during events in March.

Word going around was that Kingston, Sabian and Mireno were making plans to interrupt this Saturday's Philly event and confront Ruckus again. When the news reached Smokes he was quick to comment: "Tell them to show up. I'll leave them comps at the door. This is the real deal. Tell them to come to Philly."

Jigsaw then upped the ante by making this challenge: "Ruckus is Vulture Squad all the way. I know I have a match already scheduled for the pay-per-view, but I have no problem wrestling twice. Eddie Kingston, you want a match on Saturday. I'll be waiting. I want a match against Kingston."

It is now official that Jigsaw will team with Ruckus to take on Kevin Steen & El Generico in the first half of the Philly event for the PPV taping. The second half will see a special challenge match for the live crowd and DVD as Jigsaw will square off one-on-one with Eddie Kingston. Ruckus now finds himself in the middle. Are you with The Vulture Squad or BLKOUT? Be there Saturday in Philadelphia at the National Guard Armory to witness this explosive situation for yourself.

1) Mitch Franklin & Shane Hagadorn defeat The Osirian Portal.

2) Top Of The Class Trophy: Rhett Titus defeats Ernie Osiris to win the Trophy.


Main Show

~ROH returns to Philadelphia September 20th.

1) Kevin Steen & El Generico defeat Ruckus & Jigsaw to kick off the PPV when Generico pinned Jigsaw following Swanton/Splash combination.

2) Claudio Castagnoli defeats Davey Richards with a gorilla press/European uppercut combo.

3) Brent Albright, Delirious & Pelle Primeau defeat Chris Hero, Adam Pearce & Eddie Edwards when Albright destroyed Edwards with the kneestrikes of doom.

~After the match Adam Pearce clocked Albright with the briefcase and revealed the contents. The NWA Championship belt is in Adam Pearce's briefcase.

4) Roderick Strong defeats Erick Stevens in a Fight Without Honor. Match was "ABSOLUTELY BRUTAL" (in a good way). Both men lost teeth(conflicting reports on this one) and bled a ton. Apparently Erick Stevens broke some ribs. Strong wins with a superplex off of a 20 ft. ladder through a pair of tables.

~After the match Larry Sweeney returns and once again asks Roderick to join SNS Inc. Roderick again refuses. Davey Richards makes his way down. He tries to convince Strong to join but Roderick still refuses. Davey reveals a SNS Inc. shirt and beats down Strong.


~INTERMISSION~


~Delirious is out as we return from intermission and once again calls out Daizee Haze (doesn't she get the point of this by now?). She comes out, ONCE AGAIN followed by Rhett Titus. Titus is the one in a nice shirt and tie this time. He apologizes to Daizee, gives her his number, and asks for a three way date amongst them. Haze accepts.

5) ROH World Championship: Nigel McGuinness defeats Go Shiozaki with the London Dungeon in what was described as a somewhat dull match with little chemistry. Go busted Nigel's chest open with chops.

~After the match Danielson comes out and demands a title match on PPV.

6) ROH World Tag Team Championships: Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black defeat Austin Aries & Bryan Danielson to retain. Aries and Jacobs fought to the back. Tyler Black hit Dragon with two Small Package Drivers and a Phoenix Splash to score a pin on him.

~After the match Nigel McGuinness comes out and tells Danielson that he gets no title shot until Dragon can beat everyone Nigel has.

7) Jigsaw defeats Eddie Kingston with a doublestomp off the top rope. Jigsaw got beatdown by BLKOUT after the match.

8) Necro Butcher defeats Jay Briscoe in a falls count anywhere match. More details to come in a while. Apparently an insane match to end the show.


Super agent Larry Sweeney has pulled another power play. Sweeney has brought the historic NWA World Heavyweight Title to Ring Of Honor. Adam Pearce has been the NWA World Heavyweight Champion since winning a 16 man tournament on September 1st, 2007. However, ROH has never recognized the title. Now Sweeney is forcing the NWA World Heavyweight Title on ROH.

"What a glorious debut of a true belt with honor," Sweeney said. "Right on PPV I threw it in the face of ROH officials. I pulled out the belt they are afraid of because they know it's more prestigious. From Lou Thesz to Giant Baba to Terry Funk to Harley Race to Ric Flair to Adam Pearce, no belt in the history of wrestling has a prouder lineage. Now its under my control."

ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness is actually the first to voice his opinion on the NWA Title. McGuinness believes this his belt is more prestigious in the modern era. This issue didn't take long to build. Nigel wants Pearce on June 27th in Dayton. The historic bout has already been signed. June 27th in Dayton will have ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness vs. NWA World Heavyweight Champion Adam Pearce in a Title vs. Title Match!!!

"What closet to Sweeney find that dusty old belt," McGuinness said. "Now I know the NWA World Heavyweight Title has a rich history and I won't disrespect that. In fact, when I win the NWA World Title its history will become the history of the ROH World Title. There is only one place I want this match and that's Dayton. I still love the fans of Dayton and they still respect me because they've been with me since the beginning. I will make history on June 27th."
