Even though it wasn't a "sudden turn", that is the best ever, in my book because that kind of violence just wasn't done/seen back then.

Surprised nobody mentioned this one yet. What about at Mania (was it X7? It was in the Houston Astrodome, I know that much) when Austin turned heel by siding WITH Vince, and he went absolutely batshit with a chair on The Rock?

How about HHH turning babyface at 'Mania 22 simply because the crowd hated Cena so much?

Also, the heel turn by Jake The Snake on the Ultimate Warrior, siding with 'Taker. Then, Undertaker's subsequent babyface turn on Jake a little while later.

My biggest that happened would also be the Sting/Wolfpac mess.

Sting didn't just join the Wolfpac. He made everyone think it was with Hogan and Big show. they hugged, they danced. They celebrated. They turned their backs, Sting ripped his shirt and i bet alot of people really believed he was with the black and white until then. That was huge.

question. Why isn't it that big of deal to you?

It wasn't huge, to me, for several reasons. For one, by that time, the nWo was so worn out. The Latino World order, the black & white, the red & black....who was nWo, who wasn't....who were heels, who were babyfaces........Sting vs nWo had already reached it's peak by that time and was become old and stale (and I think Sting vs nWO was the greatest storyline EVER).

It also seemed recycled. The whole war was started back in 1996 when they started the whole "Is Sting in the nWo or not?" Dressed in black and white....attacked WCW guys...declared himself a "free agent"....didn't speak for 14 months....even stood with the nWo for 3 weeks and was given "the colors."

By 1999, his feud with Hogan was old news, there were 27 different nWo groups and sub-groups. I have the video on my mp3 player where he is in the black & white, raises Hogans hand after they hug, and then clothslines him and struggles to rip off the shirt to show the Wolfpack colors underneath. By that time WWE was taking back the Monday Night crown.

There was no suspense to it and it reeked of a desperate attempt by WCW to recapture the magic they had 2 years prior.
