A simulated rape angle in the ring on the Sixth Anniversary show?

I dont think you can go any lower than that. People praise ROH for good storylines, whatever you say TNA, WWE, WCW & even ECW never went this low.

Here's what happened: Larry Sweeney punched out Allision Danger & then punched out Bobby Dempsey. Dempsey just happened to land on top of Danger in a way that their pelvis' were touching. Sweeney then used his foot to press Dempsey's crotch into Dangers & released. He does this several times while talking on the mic.

If thats not bad enough the fans cheered & found it hilarious. I dont know what is worse, the fans reaction or the fact that ROH booked this in an attempt to halt the falling PPV buys. It didnt work for XPW (Who are now out of bussiness, i wonder why.), its not going to work for a company that prides itself on being Pure Wrestling.

ROH havent shot themselves in the foot here, they have shot themselves in the head.

Is there any video to it? It might help me if I actually see how it unfolded. Regardless, it sounds tasteless and I'm surprised that ROH would do something like that. When I've gone to their shows it's always a blast and they book their matches and storylines extremely well.

Man, I made a huge-ass post on this but the screen froze and I cannot be bothered for the life of me re-typing it all.

But basically I don't think this sounds quite as bad as full on fake rape. It's more like unwanted dry-humping as they're both unconscious.

Anyways, either way it is pretty tasteless which is surprising from Gabe. Almost sounds like his mentor Heyman at the beginning of his and ECDub's demise which would be unfortunate.

Also it will be a pity if this harms Sweeney as the guy is highly talented and I really like him.

And finally, video would be appreciated as it would make things much clearer.

Although it was a bit tasteless, I also think that its a bit outdrawn and a little out dated at this point since the show was in February. Not really a hot topic to discuss at this time of the year especially since it was on the day of WM. Was it a pointless angle, yes, but it was not an actual Rape. It just further degrades Bobby Dempsey in the eyes of Larry Sweeney. It's actually more of a thought provoking storyline that involves real life situations and at-least its more important than the fraud that is Stone Cold Steve Shark Boy whose the real joke.

Sweeney punched out Danger then told Dempsey to get on her, when he refused he punched him out & proceeded to simulate a rape scene. I'm fairly sure Danger didnt go to the ring wanting to have Dempsey humping her. It is a rape scene no matter what spin you try & put on it to make it less pathetic.

Shark Boy is & always has been a joke caracter so it seems he's doing his job well if your saying he is a joke caracter.

I had actually forgotten about this until you brought it up.

Every company has bad storylines... I don't think Triple H humping a corpse was much better than this.

I am a big ROH fan and they have put on so many quality events and it does pride itself on having great storylines which both of these are true you can't deny that. But I haven't heard about this one until now, and I must say that is about as low as one can get. WWE did something similar with the Katie Vick angle but this does seem even worse than that, but regardless of this ROH is still top quality in my opinion. But it would have been wise not to do it in the first place.
