It basically lifted a company to the top of the industry and the remnants of him going heel is what caused wrestling in general to step it up a notch and indirectly caused the need for the "Attitude" era. Personally my favorite moment was when Sting beat Hogan for the world title, then lost it the next night on Nitro. I loved the fact that they would have a major title change like that on tv. Something that has been missing for some time now.

Now onto...2. I haven't seen this match as much as the previous and I probably won't be able to go into as much detail but anyway. My second favourite moment is WrestleMania III. Unfortuantely this match I too couldn't see live, mainly because I wasn't even conceived. So yea...Anyway, Randy Savage (with Elizabeth) vs Ricky Steamboat (with Steele). Having covered the second greatest match in Mania history...I feel it's only right that the greatest ranks as my number two. Not only is this the best match in Mania history I'd say this is quite possibly the best match in WWE history. And similar to Austin vs Hart it wasn't the main event match, but instead for the Intercontinental Title (and obviously is eclipsed by the Hogan vs Andre match in many people's minds). So yea, plain and simply it was an fucking unbelievable match. Great in-ring ability and athleticisim shown on both wrestler's parts, with the match being won by Steamboat when Steele pushed Savage off the top rope as Savage was preparing to crush Steamboat's throat. Steamboat then rolled him up for the three count and his only Intercontinental Title. Now then...Hrmmm...1. I'm not sure if you intended this topic to only be WWE but meh...It's not now anyway. As my top moment has to be the one and only moment...When Hogan formed the New World Order. I have to admit that I didn't see this moment either and it takes away from the affect but it still has to be the greatest moment in wresting history. So Hall and Nash leave WWF and join WCW as the Outsiders, and are quickly planning to "take over" WCW with the help of an unnamed third member. There were many rumoured names being bandied around at this time but Hogan would have been the bottom of the list. Infact he seemed so unlikely to be the man, he wasn't even on the list. So yea...You all know the story. Basically noone expected Hogan to be the man to join them. Now onto Bash At The Beach, and the main event, where it was Nash, Scott and their unnamed partner vs Sting, Savage and Luger. So the third man doesn't start the match and Luger was forced to leave the match due to "injury" and suddenly out comes Hogan and everyone's expecting him to aid Savage who's being double teamed. Then Hogan, the most infamous face of all time attacks Savage and hits the leg drop on him. Yea the match wasn't really important here as it finished a No-Contest but it was just the shock of Hogan joining the Outsiders. Then came the brilliant interview after the match between Hogan and "Mean" Gene, where Hogan announced the trio as the New World Order or the nWo. The fans of course disgusted began to throw rubbish into the ring during the interview, making the moment even better. You couldn't buy heel heat like this...Pretty much everyone was outraged and as the show goes off air the death of Hulkamania was pronounced by Tony Schiavone. Just...Well...Unbelievable moment. Who saw thee ultimate face turning heel? Pure brilliance and that finishes My Top Three Wrestling Moments(/Matches) Of All Time.

Rep Power: 3 ![]() | Im gonna say Vince McMahon vs. HBK at Wrestlemania 22. That was an amazing match. The best part was the elbow throught the table from the ladder. I also like it because I was there. ![]() |
