Picture the situation and would you do it? V1!

Ok, I'll be doing some on these every few days. Here is situation #1. and you will reply saying would you do it and why?

Its a christmas day, You and your family are all eating and sat around a table. A Card is pushed through your letter box. You steadily go to the door and open it and see no-one around. You tear open the letter and it reveals:

You have won the opperatunity to move to one select island, Free of charge. The plain cost normally costs a million pounds (like 2 million dollars everyone else). You ponder the idea and decide to go to the airport where you will get this letter verified, The flight attendant confirms it and that you can go in a matter of minutes. You then think that you will not have the money to come back and/ Or your family to come with you.

You skim through the note one last time when you read that it also gives you everything you ever wanted.

So Would you get everything you wanted in exchange for your family?

I wouldn't, but woudl you?

Interesting concept.

Either way, I wouldn't do it. Why go to an island? I like cold, I like family, so meh.

Wouldn't everything you ever wanted include all/some family though?

I don't think it was stolen Ken. He spelled just as bad as always.

Okay.

But yeah, I wouldn't do it. Lose everyone I know just to live on an island where I'd sweat my ass off... not sounding too good where I sit.

Nice thread idea.

My family means the world to me and I can't wait to start one of my own later in life. I wouldn't give everything away just to be rich and live in a palace. Don't get me wrong living on a Island and receiving everything you ever wanted wouldn't be straight, but I was brought up to where family is what counts, not the amount of money you have to spend or the type of house you can brag to your friends about living in.

Besides the many errors... There are a couple of things in this that can contradict itself easily...

Everything that you wanted is the biggest one. I know many people that claim everything that they wanted would include family... So if that is not in it, then it isn't really everything... Secondly, another majority of people would include money. Which would give them the means to return back and bring their family with them...

Also, what airplane costs two million dollars just to move you somewhere? It's cheaper to buy a plane and hire a pilot...

With the points I have pointed out, it makes it impossible to answer this question because it completely ruins the choice aspect of it.

I'd choose my family because well they are my family and Im not sure if this island has healthcare, an economy or any sort of civilization.

Nah, I'd rather stay with family and friends in a place I love, than go to some island by myself. The novelty would quickly wear off.
