Now, to some this is a very touchy subject, as to others..it's not that big of a deal. Now, Racism really started during the times of Slavery and I'm sure even before that. But, the question I have is...can one really be racist? Now there are things that make you a RACIST to some people either by what you say, or what you do. But, I've always found it as a light subject and believe that Skin Color shouldn't determine a yes or no, which I'm sure it still does.
To me, Racism comes from ignorances as the white Slave Owners were very ignorant about that culture that they brought over, and made into well...Slaves.
Also, context is very important in the lines of Racism as it depends on how you say something.
I could use examples, but....I'd probably get banned.
I'm not denying that there isn't racism but, I just think it's foolish thing that really isn't needed, but we still have it anyway. Skin Color shouldn't matter whether you get a Job, it's your resume and what you've accomplished and whether you're bright or completely fucking stupid.
but of course, those hiring could sterotype and think that the person is an fucking idiot etc etc.

I just don't like ignorant people. They come in every color, it just seems to be the most dominant in a certain class. A lot of black people were ignorant to me so I would be an ass to them back, but I've also had a lot of good friends that are black and I know that's not how they are naturally. It just depends how you're raised. A lot of lower city kids have to act that way to survive and they never learn how to adapt to a social situation without having their guard up. Most white folks complain and are picky about everything, they're so fickle, but once again...not all white people are like that.
People just get a certain impression of a race from meeting one bad mannered person of that race and then they judge everyone else on that perception. It isn't right, but it's mainly subconscious. People that are racist are the people that know that everyone isn't alike but they still choose to hate a certain race. I mean, if you want to kill someone for the color of their skin or hold them down in anyway...that's just pathetic. You got to get to know someone as a human being, because that's one thing we all have in common.

Racism is something that has been around so long it will never leave... Mainly due to minorities. You see, a lot of people strive for equality, but in truth, they do not want it. They want the perks and none of the bad stuff.
Hell, the most racist people I know are black. Wanna know one of the most racist things a person can say? "It's because I'm black". That is the easily the most racist thing to say because that person not only makes it about race, but also uses it as a shield. In a perfect world, no one would do anything based on race, and no one would assume that just because something negative happened to them is purely influenced by race.
It's the same in all equality fields though. If I were to get knocked into by a guy, and I got pissed and attacked him, I wouldn't be thought of as a bad person by most. But replace that guy with a girl and all of a sudden I am the son of Satan. Why? Because she is a woman. The only thing that separates them is their sex and all of a sudden I am the bad guy. Equality means that if I do something to you, I can do it to anyone. And when people use their race, sex, religion, or anything else as a defense that is showing that they do not want equality... They want the perks.

What annoys me is positive discrimination. Like people making a conscious effort to get black people jobs, stuff like that. Surely for racism not to exist you need to make no distinction between people of different races, so you shouldn't favour one race over another no matter what the reason.
Who cares what colour someone's skin is.

Racism is bullshit. There's a reason God created everybody equally. The only thing that gets me that I red a few years ago and I completely agree with is things like in school, you can have culture clubs like "African-American only", etc., but when you want to do a "White Only" club it's considered racist.

The only thing that gets me that I red a few years ago and I completely agree with is things like in school, you can have culture clubs like "African-American only", etc., but when you want to do a "White Only" club it's considered racist.
Not everybody believes in God. I am not trying to start a religious debate because it is boring, but I don't like it when people always bring religion into issues such as this. I don't believe in God and I don't need religion to tell me that everyone should be treated equally regardless of race.

The thing that gets me is that racism is totally one sided. The only people that can get in trouble for being racist are whites. You have people like T.O saying he'd rather have one of his own throwing to him or Kanye West saying George Bush hates Black people or even Barry Bonds coming out and even saying he hates white people. Now, if a white person said something like that, they'd be fined or whatever else. It's really fucking BS.

That is what I was talking about. Positive discrimination. People who are so concerned about racism that they are being racist themselves by making such a distinction between two different races and favoring one over the other.

Because racism is considered to be a white thing. After all it is kind of hard to argue white only not being racist when the KKK still exists. Its just logic... When i see black men in hoods calling me child of the ******, then I'll agree white only isnt racist.
