Sheesh Totally batshit crazy Tom Cruise is at the center of a new controversy, an ad taken out in LA Weekly blames Cruise and Scientology for the death of a woman that was stabbed 77 times by her schizophrenic son. “Thanks, Tom Cruise and the Church of Scientology, for your expert advice on mental health,†blasts an ad in LA Weekly. The ad goes on to say that a woman was killed “by the schizophrenic son she was told to treat with vitamins instead of psychiatric care.†The ad refers readers to a Web site, which provides details on the case of Jeremy Perkins, a 28-year-old schizophrenic who stabbed his mother to death. Perkins was a staunch Scientologist and his mother was a counselor in the church — which opposes psychiatry and psychiatric drugs and “believes modern psychiatric medicine derives from an ancient alien civilization’s plot to drug and enslave humanity,†notes the site. Tom Cruise has publicly bashed Brooke Shields for taking anti-depressants to treat postpartum depression and has said that mental illness is a myth. I think Tom himself is living proof that not only is it not a myth, it can become a famous Hollywood actor.

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Scientologists really believe that "modern psychiatric medicine derives from an ancient alien civilization’s plot to drug and enslave humanity"? They're even more nuts than I previously thought. Tom Cruise is the last one saying that mental illness is a myth. Real religions aren't much better, saying that if you are sick all you need to do is pray to be healed(how this works if you have HIV/AIDS is beyond me). |

Some radical religions believe that Mr. K. Some others believe in healing, but also believe that God gives knowledge to Doctors to treat people. So every religion is not against going to the Doctor, only some extreme ones.

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | I only heard that because one of the women on the Fox reality show Unan1mous is a minister in her church and she said if you are sick you only need to pray to God to be healed. She also said that EVERYTHING in the Bible is true, so I don't think she really understands everything. |

Rep Power: 50 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() gXboxLive Leaderboard: 15th | A passage from the excellent Rolling Stone expose on Scientology: …Tom Cruise, who is near the top of Scientology's Bridge, at a level known as OT VII. OTs are Scientology's elite -- enlightened beings who are said to have total "control" over themselves and their environment. OTs can allegedly move inanimate objects with their minds, leave their bodies at will and telepathically communicate with, and control the behavior of, both animals and human beings. At the highest levels, they are allegedly liberated from the physical universe, to the point where they can psychically control what Scientologists call MEST: Matter, Energy, Space and Time. Very obviously this is 100 percent true, Tom Crusie really is a psychic master, like Magneto or Yoda. Except it's less creepy to think of Yoda doing it with Joey from Dawsons Creek. But, yes, obviously, Tom Cruise can shape the physical world and the wills of men, just by touching his forehead and then making a "tew, tew, tew" sound. So why does the entire world see Tom Cruise and then say, holy crap that dudes a lunatic. Because that's what Tom Cruise wants them to do. It's all part of the plan, baby, to trick the thetans into thinking he's vulnerable. Because that, my friends, is when Tom Cruise attacks. Bawhahahaha!!!
