How do you greet others?

I'm looking to see how many of us are the "touchy-feeley" type.

For example, when greeting the opposite sex (I'm talking about acquaintances and/or friends), do you:

- just smile
- shake hands
- hug
- kiss on the cheek
- other?

What about the same sex? Guys, do you do that "shake the hand and bump shoulders?" thing...bump fists...hug...smack them on the back of the head?

Or maybe you're like Dak and just look away from others as they approach you.

Well with my friends it's usually the fist bump.

With girls I simply say hello. No touching for me. I'm not really into the touching thing as far as friends go.

I always find it creepy when guys plant a kiss on the girl's cheek, or go for the hug.

Depends on the person. With my close female friends, they're lucky enough to get a hug. Otherwise it's 'hello' or 'good morning/afternoon'

With my bloke mates it's generally a 'wassup my nigga' a la Jackie Chan

It just depends really for me. Some of my girl friends will come give me a hug, and some its just a hey hey.

Some of my guy friends its a bump, some a shake, and some a sup.

Generally just with a hi/hello etc depending on guys/girls. But the people from work are incredibly touchy feely. They do everything with a hug.....everything. It was disturbing at first but now Im used to it, Im not as into it as some people but what the hell, I like hugging.

If I met Necro, I'd give him a fist bump.

If I met Meldrew, it'd be a "sup"

If I met Slimdust, it'd be a kiss firmly on the lips.

As for me, most of my female friends I give a hug. Othertimes, if there's a bunch of us meeting at once, it's a quick hello as I don't feel like hugging 10 people in succession.

Guy friends it's a simple handshake for me. My black friends insist on the shake/shoulder bump thing though. I don't mind. It's me trying to be cool.

The worst for me is when a girl knows I am uncomfortable with hugging. At least with friends its weird to me. So sometimes if a girl knows that she'll fuck with me, and invade my space. I don't mind it, but it just turns into sort of a joke.

It depends on the length of time it's been since I've seen the person in a lot of cases for me.

If it's a friend I haven't seen for a while, girl or boy, I'll probably end up hugging them to be honest.

If it's a friend I see daily, girl or boy, I'll probably just "hello" or whatever.

It also depends on if ive been drinking or not. If I have, then everyone will get a huge hug and told how much i love them, and thats its been ages since ive seen them
