Has the internet changed you?
Simple question really, for simple people.
Would you be a different person if it hadn't been for the internet?
Would you have been more "bookish" and read classics? Would you have had less of a worldly view, for example reading peoples perspectives from different parts of the world?
Have forums helped change your opinion on anything you had pre-determined views on?
Or has it just served as a tool for providing more readily accessible porn to your living room?
I waste a lot of time here at the WC so I suppose it has changed me in that respect. I would have probably wasted the time anyway watching t.v. so it doesn't really matter.
As for changing any of my views, I would partially attribute a change in my political views to discussion I have had here. A big part of that has to be attributed to my Race, Class, & Gender Professor though.

It has changed my spelling and grammar use. I have gotten a lot better at that stuff after I started foruming it up. I still hang out with my friends and stuff, so it hasn't really in a "reality" sort of way.

The internet is actually a good source of information and has changed me in some aspects. I like to get out and travel so the mapquest and other navigation sites have really helped my navigation skills.
It was really helpful when needing to use sources for essays and research papers. That actually saved me a lot of time from driving across town through traffic and looking through a library for hours. All you had to do was type in the source in a search engine and you had several sources to choose from.
Right on John and Swamps. Although it's not all that accurate, but Wikipedia can sometimes be useful. If teens were to write a paper on a historical person, that's most likely the place. Videos on Youtube can keep you entertained with music videos, comedic videos, homemade videos, viral videos, and sometimes tutorials. You can also illegally download music, porn, full versions of programs, and so on. As I mentioned, you can play against other people online, either for fun or competition, it can also payoff as well.
The internet's one of the greatest tools of the 20th century.
