we dont got any of those here i think. all we got is diesel and then at my garage we also got the buses that run on CNG.

then tonight on the news they were doing a thing cuz where i work they get 1/5 of the state tax on every dollar spent but there are 12 bus routes that have less than 100 riders per day and they say it is a waste of money cuz where i work is in debt like $5 billion lol

An interesting thought I had on gas prices.

I am beginning to believe more and more that this all may be happening because some of the people in power have interest in drilling in the Alaskan Wildlife Refuge and other areas where it is restricted in the U.S. Dubya said today that "We're too dependent on foreign oil and we need to be exploring more at home." This is quite sickening to me.

I believe that it is all being done because of Special Interest Groups who would benefit from drilling for oil in restricted areas in the U.S. The price of gas has went up soley for that purpose so some of the people who have been against drilling in the Alaskan Wildlife Refuge will finally give in since the gas prices are going so high.

Even the thought of this disgusts me beyond words.

What the hell is wrong with our country?

Well, that works out to around $4.88 per gallon, so you're in the same boat as us. Of course, I always thought the US was behind the times when it came to gasoline prices. Haven't people in Europe always been paying $6.00+ per gallon (converted from per litre price).. Not that I want to pay more, but seems odd that here in the US we've always had it pretty good. I could be wrong though. I'm no expert in gas prices abroad.

I think the corporate greed of the companies doing the drilling would far outweigh the power of the Government. Not to mention, estimates of the output and use of oil put us right at about where we are.

Sure in Europe gas prices are $6.00 a gallon and up, but where the hell do they have to drive? The United Kingdom is the size of Florida or something lol

My point was that those powerful companies influence policy through Special Interest Groups. Therefore it is in their interest to drill in restricted areas and that would be their incentive to get the government to do so.

Our country is being ruined by Corporate greed and SIG's.
