Re: Gas prices

At some stations its a very reasonable $3.69 a gallon!

I remember just eight years ago gas was less than $1.50 a gallon... Can't wait till we start converting coil to a synthetic oil... *sigh*

Re: Gas prices

Around me it ranges from $3.65 to $3.85. So tomorrow I assume that all the stations will be around $3.80. I can't believe how fast it has jumped over the past few weeks.

That is unlikely to happen since the U.S. could put tons of economic pressure on the oil producing nations.

Not to sound arrogant, but people fail to realize how much oil America actually uses. There is no way they are going to shut off the supply to us.

Re: Gas prices

No Canada would never shut off that would cripple us economically.

However we can reduce to help ourselves out.

Bc in Nafta we can't reduce the amount we send down only increase so if it does get cancelled and if both Canada and the US have liberal leaders (we are heading that way, our government is in big trouble over an election fiasco they spent too much) it will decrease.

We need some of the oil for ourself, because our gas is a lot more expensive than yours in Winnipeg where I live gas is at 1.25$ a liter, and to give you an idea how much that really is, 1 liter is only .2639 Gallons. I'm paying 4.73$ for every gallon.

Does the U.S. get their oil from Canada?

I thought we got our oil from the middle east.

We get it from a multitude of nations depending on which company you're buying from. A lot of the gas we use actually comes from ourselves. The USA is probably one of the most oil rich nations in the world, we just haven't really 'tapped' into ourselves.

But here's someone who's more knowledgeable than I answering the question: wcco.com - Good Question: Where Does Our Oil Come From?

I don't know how up to date it is because I swear I heard that Venezuela stopped shipping oil to the USA.
