Re: Value of the Internet

I'm 19 and I've been to four weddings. And apparently there is a fifth coming up.

Re: Value of the Internet

I'm 17, been to 6 weddings...and most likely a few more coming up and each of them have at least one kid or are planning on a kid once their careers are slightly more stable.

I would like to adress this comment.

I think a major cause of divorce in this country is the way that marriage is portrayed. Marriage is portrayed as being perfect and as the couple having the same feelings toward each other forever. In reality, marriage is quite different than that. It takes a lot of work to keep a marriage healthy and at the first sign of trouble, many young people give up. They need to realize that no relationship is going to be perfect and that they all require sacrifices and effort on both sides to truly turn it into a happy marriage. If you ask any older couple who have successfully made it they will tell you that there is a transition from romantic love to actually loving the person for what they are. It is not going to feel like the newlywed years forever. I truly believe that this is the problem with people who have been divorced multiple times.

I think divorce is exercised WAY too much in this country because of the reasons I just explained.
