The reason I love cops. (Yes that is sarcasm)

So I am sound asleep last night when I hear the door bell ring. Not thinking about it I looked at the clock and it was 2:30 in the morning. I figured my roommate left work and couldn't get in since I chain the door. So I get up and go turn on the lights in the kitchen and open the door. Low and behold it's the cops. So me being me I ask them what the hell they want. The interaction went a little something like this.

Cop: Is Jennifer **** here?
Me: Uh no.
Cop: Could you tell me where she is?
Me: No. How many times do you guys have to come here and me tell you she hasn't lived here for almost three years now.
Cop: Well this is her last known address, do you mind if we come in and check the place out?
Me: Yes
Cop: Well if she doesn't live here then why won't you let me come in and search the place?
Me: Because I know my rights, and you will need a warrant for that.
Cop: We don't need a warrant. Why are you making this more difficult then it is?
Me: Because it's 2:30 in the morning and you woke me up out of my beauty sleep. Don't you guys make reports of this stuff when you are told the first time?
Cop: Look this is the first time I have been here looking for her.
Me: Exactly! Do you not make reports or fill something out that she doesn't live here and put it in a file?
Cop: No, there would be no reason for it if she doesn't live here.
Me: Is there a level of stupidity you have to reach to become a police officer?
Cop: Sir, if you don't calm down I am going to arrest you for obstruction.
Me: I am calm. And really I am not obstructing anything. I told you she doesn't live here. You're the one keeping this up.
Cop: All I want to do is verify she isn't here, may I come in and make sure.
Me: Will you leave afterwards? This has taken 20 minutes out of my sleep and I really want to go back to sleep.
Cop: If she isn't here, yes we will leave.
Me: We?
Just then I see a flashlight getting shined in thru the windows. I just roll my eyes and let him in. After checking every nook and cranny he goes into the back bedroom, which is my roommates room.
Cop: Who's room is this?
Me: My roommates.
Cop: What is your roomates name?
Me: I don't think that is any of your business. It's not Jenni and that is all you need to know.
Cop: It is my business, now what is his name?
Me: His name is Josh.
Cop: Josh what?
Me: Ok I know my rights now, you need to leave, if you want anything else come back with an arrest warrant and arrest me if you want to know anything else, I'm getting sick of this.
Cop: Well I guess that's it. We will be seeing each other again.
Me: Can't wait.


With that I closed the door and went back to sleep, woke up in a bad mood because that took 35 minutes out of my sleep and pissed me off severly. I've been in a pissed off mood all day since then. And they haven't been back yet. That I know of anyway.

honestly if that were me i wouldnt have even let him in i would have told him to go get a warrant and then come and talk to me after supper when im not sleeping
