so basically i got asked out on a date by one of my guy friends . i said " no thankyou " he said " why? " i said " because i dont want a boyfriend at the moment " he said " i just wanna take u out " i reply saying " no thankyou " but with a chuckle this time.

so my question is what is a date mean to u?

too me it means that u have a special intrest in the person and they can most likely become ur boyfriend/girlfriend. i say that because ur spending money on a person to get to know him/her and possibly too see what him and her [ or him and him ] can build.

when i say special intrest i mean more than a friend thing because if it was just a friend thing you woulda just have invited that person to your house apartment etc. or if its just to have somebody there well thats what friends are for and family so u really cant say that.

A actual date means there is some type of a romantic interest. Just going and hanging out doesn't constitute a date even if you basically do the same thing. If it was an actual date then i'm sure there are some romantic feelings that he may have. To me it all depends. A first date to me is just going out and getting to know someone on a deeper level. A second date is all about the romantic things and seeing how well you click with someone. Sex isn't something I expect on any date but I won't turn it down.

A date to me means spending time and getting to know the person you like/love alot better. You shouldnt go on a date if you do not want to have a relationship with the person you are going on a date with.
