Rep Power: 11   | the sb headline k this isnt a rant so everyone keep civil ok awesome i was told by somone to check out the wh sb so i did and i saw it said god bless america 9/11/2001 now i feel for the victims of 9/11 its a tragedy ok but why does it say god bless america i dont believe in god and im not from america i feel extremely discrminated from that headline it could have easily said our prayers out to all 9/11 victims therefore you arent putting one country on a pedostol by saying god bless america i feel that you are telling god only bless america not other countries and you are excluding those of us who dont even believe in a god or maybe have a different religion like buddhish or seech or hindu like i said earlier i feel for the victims its a tragedy but why do we have to say god bless america it wasnt only americans who died in that people from all over the world were killed but by that headline you seem to be excluding all those who died you disagree tell me prove me wrong im not saying you cant i just want a civil discussion on this and yes i always make a thread when something happens (someone is going to bring up my skin thread i know that) | |

Rep Power: 4 | the person who "told him to look" was me. I wanted his opinion on it,and we pretty much agree. I have an issue with that being on the main page of our forum. Now yes,I am american, but still. A large portion of our members are not American. Hell,even 2 of our 3 admins arent. Also, even though "God Bless America" is a general phrase that is thrown around lightly now,I find it offensive,and I think that some others might too. I'm offended by it because I'm agnostic,but its not about me,its about the WH community. I'm sure quite a few of our members are agnostic,athiest,or believe in a different devine figure. I know that there's no point in changing it now,but I just think that is shouldn't have been put up there in such a way. It could have said something along the lines of "R.I.P. the victims of 9/11" or something along those lines. Now Joe,since I'm assuming you did this,I mean no disrespect at all,but I think that it was an incredibly ignorant move,and quite possibly insulting to many members of the WH community | |

Since it was pointed out, this all started in American and other o****ries out of the good will in their heart, helped us. But to me... removeing it from the National Anthem or anything else is just well, hurtful. Since in America the vast majority of America is a beiliver in God and a few arn't. But there is also no right side in this argument. So thuse, I bid my adue. |
