Starbucks be dum dums
So Starbucks today closed for 4 hours today to "re-train their employees". Apparently Starbucks is concerned over slipping profits due to companies like McDonalds and Dunkin Donuts offering very similar products at a lower price.

So this begs the question "What the hell does that have to do with their employees training?"

Here's an idea.............Don't charge freaking 4.50 for some milk and a shot of expresso.

Idiots.

Meanwhile (at least in Boston) Dunkin Donuts offered one free latte during the four hours that Starbucks were closed. haha Dunkin is a brilliantly run company. Great coffee at a really decent price. I love when one company benefits off another ones stupidity.

So I take it Dunkin Donuts is country wide then........ When I was down in Florida I only saw maybe 1 or 2. In Boston there are literally hundreds of them. Sometimes they are across the street from each other they are so popular. lol

Its really only DD's and Starbucks around here with DD outnumbering Starbucks probably like 5 to 1, maybe higher.

We don't really have Dunkin Donuts around here.

We have Jolly Pirate and Krispy Kreme.

Several Starbucks have just recently started coming to the area. We even have a Starbucks in our library at my University.

One time I was in Boston visiting a friend and he took me to a street intersection and told me to look around and count how many Dunkins I saw.

I saw 4. There were FOUR DDs visible from one spot. crazy

Anyway, if you stand on the corner where my office is (42nd st. and 3rd ave in NYC), there are 3 Starbucks in a half-block radius. One on 3rd ave between 41st and 42nd, one on 42nd between 2nd and 3rd Aves., and one on 42nd between 3rd and Lexington Aves. Ridiculous...
