Another Bad Experience With A Cop

Today on my drive back home from school for the weekend I came upon a city policeman on a 4-lane highway. There are no city limit signs any where on that road so he has no jurisidiction there. The speed limit is 65 MPH and I was doing about 70 MPH and was gradually approaching him to pass. He sped up so I sped up to 75 MPH and passed him. He immediately turned on his lights and pulled me over. Here is how the conversation went.

Cop: Good evening Sir, I need to see you license, registration and insurance.

(I gave him my paper work)

Cop: So do you know why I pulled you over?

Me: Because I passed you back there.

Cop: Not because you passed me but because you were speeding while doing so. Did you just not see me or what?

Me: No I saw you. I just thought you were a city cop.

Cop: I am a city cop and you are in my jurisdiction.

Me: I wasn't aware that the four lane highway ran through a city

Cop: I tell you what I am going to do. I am not going to write you a ticket. I am going to let you off with a verbal warning. But the next time you see a policeman City, State, or County it doesn't matter, don't pass them.

END OF TRAFFIC STOP

Fucking pig. He knew he couldn't give me a ticket because I wasn't in his jurisdiction. I am going to go ape shit on one of these ass holes one of these days. I hate them.

If the highway is located in his city, it's in his jurisdiction. Believe me, I watch Mentor Ohio cops pull over people on the Highway all the time... but if you want other people telling you, here you go.

O.K. heres the deal. We have places like that in W.V. too. Ceredo for example, but this is different. There are no city limit signs anywhere on the road and the city of Danville is about two or three miles off the road. The city is not that big so there is no way there jurisdiction reaches that far. If it did this cop would have written me a ticket. He just got mad because I passed him and wanted to show his authority. The trouble is he had no authority there. Otherwise he would not have hesitated in writing me a ticket.

That is what I hate about Cops. Even if it is not in their juridiction they have that "YOU DON'T DO THAT IN FRONT OF BE BOOOOY!" attitude.

I have no respect for them.

If you weren't in his jurisdiction then you should have just kept going, he can't pull you over or get your for evading the police if your out of his jurisdiction

Eh, I didn't want to risk it.

All Cops are butt buddies and he would have got one of his State Trooper friends to get me.

If you lived in Canada it would be better, the cop would probably only speak English so he'd either start yelling at you if you start speaking french, or tell you to speak white, or just really upset and just be like fuck it and leave,...or if worse comes to worse he makes you sit there for an hour while a french cop comes in but french cops are usually pretty cool.
