That is what I do as well.

The Cops usually allow 10 MPH over....at least the ones who are not pricks.

Re: Another Bad Experience With A Cop

lol you should see how i drive on the highway. I got pulled over once coming out of the tunnel on the bridge from boston going 70 in a 45 lol. I didnt even get a warning cuz i had my T uniform on so he just told me to watch out and go slower and not do i again. The speed limit in a few miles after that is 65 but i usually go 85+ i can't stand driving the limit.

Re: Another Bad Experience With A Cop

You know what's funny, is that my Honda actually rides smoother and quieter at 80 than it does at 65.

A Buick Century rides just as smooth at 65 as it does at 80....

Isn't this some of the same people who just told me not to speed?

The Fourth Amendment protects citizens against illegal search and seizure. Our founding fathers wanted it in the Constitution since the British searched homes and barns under the writs of assistance. The Fourth Amendment typically comes up in court when people are challenging admissibility of items that have been seized in a search. In the "seizure" of a person, it is not hard for a cop to justify detaining someone. They just have to say that they thought the person was breaking the law. Speaking of breaking the law, in West Virginia cops are only able to legally speed under two conditions: 1) When they are on an emergency call and 2) when they suspect a person is guilty of a traffic violation. I've seen them pass cars going well beyond the speed limit, without their flashing lights on, only to pull into a Dunkin Donuts shop. Does that happen in Georgia as well?

Just as long as you are 500 feet away and not moving it would hold up in court I guess. A lot of people don't know the rules about radar so they just pay the fine. Studies have shown that raising the radar gun can register a reading that exceeds the speed limit. Also stationary bill boards have been clocked well above the speed limit. Due to the unpredictability of radar California does not even allow radar to be used; speeding violations are done through pacing. And in West Virginia if a town is categorized as a Class IV Municipality or lower, the Cops are not allowed to introduce radar readings as evidence. The reason is that the courts feel the officers are not properly trained in use of radar. That doesn't stop them from taking money from people who pay a fine without challenging it in court.

It is good that you keep records of your radar logs, around here the Cops are quite unprofessional. It sounds like you are following regulations which isn't always the case for Cops. I cannot support those who defend Cops that dont follow regulations and feel that they are above the law.
Uh... yeah you were adding more to your original story because never once in your original post did you mention anything about the officer being four miles out of his jurisdiction.

Where the hell did you read that California doesn't allow the use of Radar? That right there proves you don't know what you are talking about.... Where the hell did you copy and paste that from because I would really like to see that site of misinterpretations? California isn't no where near a strict with limitations as Georgia is... but then again they did let O.J. off the hook...

Anyway, the Radar box is mounted on the dash (This means its not a gun! It sits perfectly still!) of my vehicle and both the rear and front antennas are installed properly in either my front or rear windshield. This system is tested by myself everyday before my shift and, is tested by the proper "P.O.S.T" certified calibration inspector quarterly. I installed the system myself and have Never lost a case and like I said before I have even written other police officers citations who have tried to challenge me and guess what? They lost... so what makes you think you would win a case against me? I mean because I seriously doubt the judge is going to let you bring a lab top in the court room and copy and paste from sites you think are legit(but are just other pissed off cry babies). Besides you, yourself don't really know the codes, rules, or whatever you want to call them. Most of the material you have posted is an obvious copy/paste job. By the way, there are several sites dedicated to trying to help people get out of thier traffic tickets... which one do you go to?

No we don't speed to get to a dunkin donuts... as a matter of fact we don't even have one anywhere close by that I am aware of...
