If you ever pull me over and act like a prick, it could just be you.

There is no reason for Cops having holier than thou attitudes. Especially City Cops who have a high school diploma or less.

Exactly. I dont see how him letting you off with a ticket is "Another bad experience".

I think comments like that pretty much say it all - no respect towards an authority figure. I think I'm a pretty easy going guy. For the most part at least. Perhaps that's where the difference is between Dak and I. If I'm doing something wrong, I'm probably just going to admit it, laugh it off, face the consequences. Whether it's a ticket, a failing grade in class, or whatever else I'm punished with. Iit's my own fault; I know the rules - sometimes I choose to ignore them, and when I get caught, it's my problem, and my fault.

Something I read that kind of made me decide to start owning up to my problems, was in Dale Carnegie's book. When questioned about their actions, both Adolf Hitler and Al Capone said they were doing right; "sticking up for humanity." Most of us that are civilized know that's not at all true.

I was doing wrong but the Cop was doing wrong as well. He was out of his jurisdiction and had no reason to pull me over. If it were a Deputy or a State Trooper I would have complained, but at least they would have been in their jurisdiction.

As for the other two comments, I don't know about your country but here in America we have rights. When those rights are violated it tends to piss me off. My ancestors fought and died so we don't have to be harassed like this.

You're trying to justify your wrong doing, with the cops wrong doing.

It's like we should feel pity for Lee Harvey Oswald because Jack Ruby shot him, even though Oswald committed the first wrong by killing John F. Kennedy.

That doesn't matter.

I am a citizen. Citizens break the law all the time.

But when incompetent officers who have no right to be wearing a badge do stupid things that is different. They are representatives of the government not a private citizen. So when they break the law, it is much worse than a private citizen breaking the law.

Also the Cop was going past the speed limit when I passed him.

They are automatically held to a higher standard when they choose to put on a badge and represent the government.

I show due respect to them but I am certainly not going to worship them like they are God.

If one does not show me respect (Most Don't) I don't show them respect.

I'm a city cop with a college education... wow is that rare to you?

Anyway, if I were to stop you I would treat you as I treat everyone else. I'd be nice even if you were yelling and screaming at me. After I wrote you you're citation I would even tell you to have a good day!

I doubt you will ever go off on any officer... until you get on the computer and can cry about it over and over again.

BTW... I think you are intellegent enough to know not to jump on an officer. ;)
