Did anyone else used to LOVE these things when they were younger? I remember when I was 13 or 14 and my parents first got us the internet (AOL), I was so excited to spend hours upon hours in chat rooms. I used to stay up late chatting with people from different parts of the country, and even in other countries.

However, that was back in the days of the phone modem, and it cost money per minute to be online. Plus, we were dialing long distance to connect to AOL because there were no local numbers. So needless to say, after my dad got the first phone bill of a few hundred bucks, he put a tight leash on my brother and I.

Not really into chat rooms but Pogo was half chat and half game and I still go there once in a while.

I too had the dial up but instead of AOL we had the wanna be JUNO. If anything it costs more than AOL. 56K FTL.

Yeah, the times I was talking about were back around 1995 or 96. The early days of it all. So I was glued to it as a young teen.

When I was a younger teen I was totally into chatrooms.

I remember one time when I was about 9 or 10 this chick told me Undertaker was her father, now at this time I didn't know wrestling was fake so I was totally buying into it. She gave me all sortsa details which just drew me in more and more. Then she told me Kane was her uncle and I remember looking it up to see if they were really brothers and when I found out they weren't I totally bust her ass!

i used to use them all the time. haven't been in one in years though. i hardly even go any any messgenger's now.

me and my friends would go on wwe.com chat and pretend to be chicks and ask dudes to cyber and then when they said yes be like WERE DUDES. we prolly tramatized many kids.

I also would go to msn zone and play some checkers and talk to people but i dont chat it up anymore except right before cloverfield i found a cloverfield chat room that i talked to some people about the movie but nothing since then and prolly nothing ever again.

I used to everyday all day, but not the only chatrooms really, are yahoo and random crap sites. AIM doesn't do chat's no more which is kind of shocking, but oh well
