Re: Your Culinary Skills

I can make decent eggs. I can't really cook on my own, I have to have a recipe right there, as well as a decent sized kitchen so I have the proper room needed to perform my art. I took cooking class in high school, and did pretty well there, but I had the teachers help, and recipe pages, and a nice big open kitchen

Re: Your Culinary Skills

I can throw together a pretty decent meal if I'm feeling ambitious, which is rarely. I make super good chicken soup, everything down to the chopped parsley is from scratch.

I also hemmed my friends dress for her today, while she was still wearing it. We have it on video actually. Then I cleaned the entire kitchen in a fit of domesticity. I'm going to make a damn fine wife someday.

I have breakfast covered. My French Toast is especially good.

Re: Your Culinary Skills

For me, if I can take the time to sit and properly prepare a meal, I don't do too bad. My "claim to fame" was making a dinner that consisted of breaded chicken, potatoes au gratin, some carrots and biscuts. Other than that, I have made some pasta dishes before, but usually the sauce is right out of the can.

I enjoy cooking breakfast too. I'm a morning person, so on Sunday mornings I'll cook up pancakes, eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, toast...the whole 9 yards.

I do agree with Blade in that my favorite meal to cook is anything on the grill in the summertime. Mmmm.

Re: Your Culinary Skills

Im actually pretty good, although I did take culinary training classes and cooked in resturants.

My gf has alot of food allergies, so its been making me come up with new ideas of things to make. Although I gotta tell you with no cockiness at all, I make one bad ass baked ziti!

Re: Your Culinary Skills

I can cook just about anything. I don't really do much with seafood though since I can't stand it. But I love giving new things a try and busting out some different stuff.

One dish that I get rave reviews for is my Chicken Enchiladas. It takes like 2 hours to make and is really bad for you, but people get very giddy when I say I am going to make it.

I love to cook really. You can only get good if you try it. Chances are you will make some meals that people go "Meh" or "BLECH!!!" but more often than not you can get it right if you give yourself a chance.

I also find that following well reviewed recipes to a T is very important to a good meal. I always had a passion for food. Often times its hard to cook for the different tastebuds in my house too though. lol

Yes, cooking on the grill is awesome. Just sit back and chill outside with a cold beer in hand.. maybe a breast in the other

Re: Your Culinary Skills

With school and work and homework keeping me up most nights, I usually spend as much time as I possibly can making dinner to delay having to go back to my desk. That's one reason I love to cook, anyway.

Also, like Blade said, as if summer needed any additional reasons to come sooner (no school, beach weather, longer days), I can't wait to get back on the grill every night with a case of beer at my feet.
