Rep Power: 44 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The Necro Diet Thread: A day by day diary of my progress Day 1 December 18th, 2007 Well today is the day I feel like I'm going to start losing weight for the new year. I've made so many half ass attempts to start up on a diet, but all have failed. Mainly because even when I was telling myself I was going on a diet, I was actually saying I wasn't in my head at the same time. I've grown to be addicted to fast food, and soda. What started out as me being addicted to beer drinking, has turned into an all out let down of my ability to control my eating, and drinking. In high school I could eat what I wanted, and drink what I wanted. beer, soda, fast food, anything bad. It didn't matter. I weighed 129lbs. Fast forward to today I'm at an all time high 194.2 lbs. After years of being fit, and playing sports, I've resorted to hardly being able to run up the stairs without being winded. So here we go. I'm going to post on a daily basis. With what I ate, drank, current weight, current weight loss. Sounds very micro managed, but that's how I work. So today's the first day. I'm at 194.2. I feel like there's atleast 3 pounds I probably will lose right away today with getting crap out of my system. I.e. fast food, tons of soda, beer etc. I will be back tonight at around 8pm with an update. If anyone wants to give inspirational quotes, advice or, even wants to start their own thread I would support you people. Anyway, Current Weight: 194.2lbs Goal Weight: 129lbs A huge goal, but knocking anything off I'll feel great. goals for today: no fast food, no soda. Drinking only water. eating decent food, but also decent amounts. Try to do a treadmill work out. Probably going to start walking/running splits. Going to take it easy to prevent injuries. I'll be back! Day 2 December 19th, 2007 So I had an okay day. Ended up only drinking a large soda at bk, and a double cheeseburger. Wasn't the best day, but otherwise it went pretty well. Had to go into work, and ended up sleeping a lot just because I hardly slept the night before. Current weight: 189.6 in the previous day I literally had about a 2 liter of soda, ate at a few fast food places, and at home I ate random stuff. I can literally eat non stop for about 20 minutes without even noticing. Anyway, I'm sort of happy for my first day. Sadly, keeping it to one fast food joint was an actual improvement. Obviously weight goes up and down daily, so I'm not putting too much weight (no pun intended) into the scale. Dont want to be caught up in such a trivial thing. Tomorrow's goals: 20 ounce of soda, rest of the day water. breakfast oatmeal lunch a salad snack mid day not sure yet dinner roast beef sandwich/salad. Working 8am-10pm. So working out will not be in the plan for tomorrow. The next day, and Friday though will definitely start up my treadmill workouts. Last edited by Necro; 12-19-2007 at 12:38 AM. |

I like to do lunges or squats, work out big muscle groups, because muscle burns calories. Try doing three sets of twenty squats no weight, it sounds easy but your legs may burn tommorrow, I will do them also, I need to get in shape for ski season. Good Luck!! 129 is very light, how tall are you??? |

So much so that I zoomed up to 228lbs. That is staggeringly big for me. I started working out again six weeks back and have managed to take that down to 208lbs so far. Anything under 196lbs is fine for me but I really want to shift it down to around 182lbs, that would be as low as I've been for the last 15 years. I find it easier to run to lose weight, which is basically what I've been doing on treadmills the last six weeks. It also screws up your knees less to run on the mills as opposed to the streets. I do have to throw in some lifting too and some other weight machines because, hell it's not going to tone up too unless I put in some work there to compliment it. Actually was doing two 20 minute runs but am finding it easier to do four 10 minute runs in each session at differing levels. Everything else is just being sensible really. I've not dropped anything completely out because if you do that you just resent being on some sort of diet after a while, just cutting back on stuff so I'll just have some chocolate every now and then or just have one pepsi max can every couple of days or so. Dropped most of the caffeine out that I used to have. Another thing is working out in the early evening means I'm not in the mood to have a big dinner when I get in from the gym, so that helps. Tried to cut out having a lot of bread too. My weight loss total is a similarly large amount to yours Nec, I do find though that it's easier to put it in context and set sights at like aiming for every 5lbs loss or something like that, when you think of it as having to lose nearly 70lbs, it's way too big, sure you'll get there eventually but just put that figure out of your mind for now and just aim for the small targets. You also shouldn't aim to lose it in an unrealistic timescale. For example, an amount like that you should put it as distant as possible without being silly, like saying I'll lose it by this time next year, that gives you lots of time. Lastly for my tips and advise (lol) don't sweat it when after four or five weeks you work out and weigh yourself and find you didn't lose anything that week. After the initial loss it'll slow and then for no reason four or five pounds will come off in another week when you didn't expect it to. Oh and one more thing, nail some wench really hard all night long the night before you weigh yourself. Nothing like that for tipping the scales in your favour the next day.

Can't make goals too big. 70 pounds is a goal that is definitely a long ways away. I'm just going to be sensible. Knock out fast food daily, and soda right away. Start working out a little, and easing my way back into it. From there things will turn out decently I expect. |

From there... eat healthy and be active everyday. You might not have to actually work your ass off everyday but maybe take a walk around the block you know.. do something. Good luck guys.. I'm going to the gym almost everyday myself. Winter sucks as I'm a lot less active lol

Daaaaamn, that must have been ALOT of soda and fast food. I have recently lost like 8 pounds. I drink that Crystal Light shit now (those individual packets that go in water) instead of soda. Makes a huge difference..... When you weigh 129 pounds can I use you as a curling bar? K, thanks Simon

Started at like 215, and have been around 200 - 205 for a couple of weeks. The best weeks I had was when I non stopped eating chicken and salad. I have been pretty bad lately with fucking christmas cookies though. |
