Do you suffer from this? According to scientists, 2/3 of all mobile users have experienced phantom ringing - where you're convinced your phone's rung when it hasn't. And the more you use your phone, the more likely you are to experience this.

I experience this at work mainly. Im constantly running into the office to answer the phone only to realise that its not actually ringing. And I keep my mobile in my pocket at work and constantly feel phantom vibrations on my leg. Its weird.

I do hear phantom ringing on certain songs. I forget any of them(!) but sometimes I can be driving along, think I hear a phone ringing, then turn down the sound and....nothing. Turn the sound back on....and the ringing starts up again

I usually get phantom vibrations. No really, I'm not being rude. Even if my phone isn't on vibrate...it's worse in clubs when the bass makes it feel like I'm constantly ringing.

There is something to pantom ringing within music.. A lot of hip hop songs are hitting the same frequencies of standard ring tones.. This is a trick to get you to listen to it closely.. Jermaine Durpi (a rapper/producer) has commented about it on MTV a few times.

Ever drive along with the radio and think you heard an American police siren? It's the song hitting those same frequencies tricking you so you pay more attention to the radio.

Lots of times I hear the message received IM chime and my speakers aren't even on or they on but my instant messenger is off.. Freaky stuff.. I hope they don't turn into voices.

I'm terrible, for a while I was "On-call" at one of my jobs, simply terrible now. I get phantom ringing all the time. And I'm always afraid they're calling me to work.

I experience phantom vibrations as well. We aren't allowed to have the ringers on at work anymore (really, they don't want us to have phones at all lol) so I'm always feeling something on my leg thinking my phone is blowing up.
