Anyone here go camping, fishing, or hunting?

One of the things I love to do when I have free time is go camping and hunting. Something about getting away from all the hassles at home and work and enjoying the outdoors.

I take my sons hunting each year. One of them is actually old enough to hunt, the other just goes along for the experience. It's a great way to spend time away from computers, video games, and really get a chance to bond with them. They learn all about the animals we see while we are out, and basically how to survive outdoors.

When I was younger, I know I spent two thirds of my weekends throughout the year camping. My buddies and I would go out to various camp sites and ride motorcycles, four wheelers, go fishing, take the boat out water skiing on the late... Good Times...

I go fishing out on my gfs boat a lot. Just about every other weekend. With the weather getting cooler we havnt gone in a few weeks though. I am not a big fan of fishing, but I do enjoy getting out in the water on a nice day.

Funny, I'm not particularly fond of fishing either, but then again, I never catch anything worth bragging about. I try going out on those charter boats deep sea fishing however I never get lucky enough to have a captain that leads us to a hot spot...

I have had a few bad boating trips while out deep sea fishing, my last being a boat full of about 50 people, ALL of whom became sea sick. I swear, everyone on that boat, not including me, got sick. You would have though they were chumming for sharks

Something else about fishing is, I don't eat fish.... that is unless it's from Long John Silvers. As when I go hunting, I don't kill anything I'm not going to eat.

You'll find me out on the ice this Winter. So if I disappear off of Monks for like 2 months, I might've just fallen through. Or I finally got on ESPN's fishing shows in the morning.

It's odd though. Any other morning, I can't get up. If I KNOW I'm going fishing. Bam I'm up at 3 am, showered and ready to go by 4 and out on the ice by 4:30-4:45. I love Ice Fishing <,<

i never go camping, i have maybe gone camping 2 times in my life and i am 18, yeah i'm deprived, but it was hard to go camping since my sister was handicapped so... no big deal though

I used to do a lot of hunting with my Dad before he passed away.

Now I don't do any hunting. No one to go with.

Never got into hunting as my dad never did it. So that basically meant that I had nobody to show me, and I really don't think I would have been interested anyway. But, what kind of hunting to do you do, Felix? And what do you hunt?

I do enjoy fishing, but like Felix I don't eat fish so it's more for the sport. I will just throw them back if I catch anything. But as a kid, I used to go out fishing all the time in the lake near our house with our friends. It was a fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

I'm strictly a deer hunter right now. I would however like to go turkey hunting this year, but where I hunt, I haven't seen any signs of turkey around.

Camping is awesome!! I go with a bunch of friends every year to the Saco River in Maine. Ther are no guns or rods on our site, but plenty of beer and weed. It's hard to beat getting F'd up around a campfire!!

I fish but rarely catch anything. Really, I'm look to catch something there's something so relaxing about being away from the computer, cell phone being out of service and sitting on a lake drinking a couple of beers.
